We'll see how this post ages if Ronna gets criminally charged for the fake electors schemes in Arizona and Michigan. She's on a recording offering to provide legal services from the RNC if electors went along with Trump's corrupt scheme to steal the 2020 election after the fact (i.e. offering a bribe to engage in illegal acts).
I don't know what it's gonna take to sink in for y'all: people like Ronna aren't being shunned for their conservative beliefs, they are facing scrutiny for their criminal behavior.
I'm all for keeping a bench of dissenting voices to encourage debate, but we've reached a point in the Trump era where one side is simply at war with objective reality, and the debates are no longer about issues anymore. Frankly, conservatives are not victims just because rational people are tired of indulging their dangerous and bad faith delusions.
I am glad you brought up "objective reality." Let's talk about objective reality for a moment.
NBC has no problem giving a voice to Al Sharpton, a race-baiter and hyperpartisan who literally helped start the Crown Heights race riot with his avid anti-Semitic comments back in the 1990s. Sharpton, in addition to being a convicted felon, is a well-known anti-Semite who has repeatedly blamed the Jews for the world's ills the last 30 plus years.
It has no problem giving a nightly show to Maddow, who in 2016 and continuing for a 3 year period was the number one purveyor of the debunked Russian collusion conspiracy theory, claiming that Russia and Donald Trump had "stolen" the 2016 election (sound familiar?). Every single show was devoted to the conspiracy, with Maddow going so far as to claim members of the Trump cabinet were "friends" of Putin and having secret meetings and rendezvous with his operatives in the lead up to the election.
It has no problem giving a nightly show to Reid, a well-known homophobe with numerous well-documented homophobic comments in her past, numerous racist and anti-Semitic statements, and a 9/11 conspiracy theorist.
It has no problem employing Lawrence O'Donnell, an avowed socialist, who was likewise a well-known purveyor of the 2016 Russian collusion and stolen election conspiracy theory - a guy who falsely claimed Trump was receiving money from Russian oligarchs. A guy who accused Michael Steele of being an Uncle Tom, and has made numerous other racist and anti-religious statements over the years.
Yet, despite this "objective reality," NBC has had no issue giving these Democrat operatives their own show - a voice each day to spout their conspiracy theories and Democrat talking points. Yet it's a bridge too far to allow McDaniel to sit on a panel?
LOL. Sure thing, HuMck.
