Not sure what caused the Florida Judge to delay the trial. The only slam dunk against Trump was Georgia until the DA there dipped into the affair that had the curtain pulled back for all to see.

Not sure how they can make the records into a sex case in Florida but they may.

I think in NY they thought they would try some new legal approaches and philosophy to get Trump. They have an activist judge and a friendly jury pool so why not. If the case ultimately fails they will keep Trump off the campaign trail, cost him a lot of money, and the media can talk about his dirty laundry from now until the election. There are no consequences for making a mockery of the US legal system so why not try.

There has been a lot of discovery in the Florida case and at best it appears the FBI hit team was sloppy and unprofessional in documentation and at worse its looking like a grand conspiracy and set up. Its possible this one gets thrown out with prejudice. Again nothing will happen to the prosecution team for any misbehavior so why not try.

All this legal wrangling stuff is like pornography for those who hate Trump. It doesn't matter if its fair or just. Its about feelings and the thrill of maybe finally getting him.

This is my fear as well. They spectacularly got away with it in '20 with the GOP being impotent to stop it and the last line of defense - the justice system - establishing a precedent that they're not going to stop it. What assurance do any of us have that the same thing isn't going to happen again?

Trump is a moral leper. So is Biden. Add Bragg to that list as well as Merchan and the Justice Dept who are letting this trial run off the rails. Trump's legal guys are probably working more on the appeal at this point since the judge has allowed Bragg to "misuse" the system with the judge's compliance.
