That only applies to candidates already on the ballot. Biden isn't on the ballot until he wins the nomination at the convention. The Democrats are having a virtual convention this year ahead of the big one to make sure that the process is complete by Ohio's deadline. The big problems would come if he is nominated at that virtual convention.

Last is defintely true. But it would not matter much (except to down ballot races) in many states-does not matter who is on the Democratic ballot, they are not winning Idaho, North Dakota, Mississippi, etc.

Same for Pa Governor, a Jewish male, who would help with the Jewish vote. Whitmer/Shapiro would be a credible alternative. But how do they get there without alienating the black vote (by bypassing Harris)?
