And we choose to live 7 minutes from of our grandsons.
Took them to breakfast and 2 parks today.
Furniture shopping with pizza for lunch yesterday.

On Saturdays I send our part time landscaper to my daughters house so she can spend more time with her sons.

Can't even imagine seeing my children and grandchildren only a few times a year.

But everyone has their own priorities.

My wife and I discussed it and decided jointly to stay in the US for the sake of our grandchildren.
That's how a successful long term relationship works.

I live abroad about half of the year and a lot in Colorado in summer. I go back and forth. I don't have gks as that would change things. Daughter just was married. Son out of college and gainfully employed . I make it a priority to have my peeps where they visit regularly. They have their own lives. gks (can't believe I just said that), would change the equation . Hell, I'm just good with being a recent empty Nestor. Life has stages. Embrace.
