Dems have a problem, but CNN and the leftists don't want to talk about it.
Trump is eroding the Dems lock down on the black vote. Minorities like Trump, and they have felt what a disaster Dems have been for minority communities.
Minority groups made progress under the Trump presidency. So much so that the left had to manufacture and mobilize the BLM movement to counter black support for Trump. A movement that somehow disappeared days after Biden "won".

Even the Dems here will only bemoan Trump, they can never admit truth about how good the Trump years were for regular America.

I'll never forget during one of Trump's State of the Union addresses as he was talking about how record low unemployment for blacks and Hispanics had been achieved since his innauguration the camera cut to a shot of the "Black Congessional Caucus" who were in unison sitting on their hands and scowling/frowning. If that picture didn't communicate to black America that the left doesn't care about your community prospering and succeeding and in fact wants your community to continue to fail and therefore continue to be dependent on them, I don't know what will.

Dems and their immigration policy grow the nanny state and hurt American citizens, especially the minority communities. Dems know this, but they care more about their progressive religion than they do people.

The Dems pander to black citizens with an intentional and underlying message that black citizens need to be taken care of.
As if they are children and aren't capable of taking care of themselves. What an insult. And how 1800s South can you get?
Many black citizens have rejected that notion and become senators, mayors, governors, doctors, secretaries of state, vice presidents, and presidents.
There are no excuses anymore. It has been proven that despite what the left has tried to force feed on black voters it isn't true. In fact, the attempts to keep as many black citizens where they're at through the kind of pandering they do is exactly why my black friends no longer support them. They've been talked down to for way too long.

For the record... that was a Northern view as well.

Insulting paternalism and exploiting the Black vote for political power was the Republican platform.

Kicking Blacks out the political sphere was the Democratic platform.

I think Trump needs to quit pandering to blacks and hispanics. They will vote for him bc they like him but not bc he panders to them. It's not worth his time. He needs to focus on whites and white women bc they are the bulk of his voters.

He needs to focus on the fact that his common sense policies that were proven to work in his first term (especially prior to the Covid hysteria) will work again for ALL Americans and steer clear of the dim tactic of targeting and pandering to certain voting blocks only.

Trump will not win a majority of the black vote.

Though he might receive a majority of the Hispanic male vote.

It might get close to a even split of the male black vote...or at least the male black vote under age 55

Carville has their number when it comes to feminine and radical academic messaging coming out of the NPR wing of the Democratic Party and how it drives away male votes

Pandering?
Being a good representing for them is not pandering. Pointing out how his policies have been beneficial to those communities isn't pandering.

Of course not, if he could get 15-20% that would be a HUGE win, and could easily be the difference maker in some states.

When you have a president like Biden, who just admits the truth about Black culture - "you ain't black if you don't vote for me" - being black and democrat are synonymous, that is how they are raised. It takes a lot to overcome that and start voting for real change, but it's sinking in with the community and you are seeing them break away from their social programming.

No different than a lot of Dems -Blue collar democrats are figuring it out. They're starting to see their party as the Anti-America party - the anti-God, anti-logic, anti-white, anti-America, anti-labor, anti-Freedom, anti-hetero, anti-everything traditional.

Crazy how anyone today can actually be a democrat, clearly its own secular religion at this point.

Republicans will not survive as a national party for than another 12 years unless they can routinely expect to win at least 55% of the Hispanic vote and 35% of the black vote .

Trump is populist enough to do this but he is aging rapidly.
And in any case Republicans need to get away from nominating white guys.

Trump does not need a majority of either group to win. He can win by two actions:

* Winning enough of the Black/Hispanic vote to win the battleground states, and

* Creating enough distrust of Democrats by Blacks/Hispanics to cause some to vote for a 3rd party candidate or not vote for President at all

So far, it appears Trump has succeeded in both actions.

The key to Trump is his attention to voters.

He won in 2016, both in the primaries and in the fall, because no one else was addressing job and border concerns with anything but pablum.

Trump gained support with minorities by making more opportunities for them, without the patronizing arrogance of racial quotas and DEI fantasies.

The GOP needs to seriously look at what worked 2017-2020 and build on that.

May as well waste time on people who will vote for you. Trump may get 8% of the black vote if hes lucky. They arent going to vote for him in any numbers no matter what.

He'll get closer to 15. He also got more than 8 previously.

Cool, I hope he does bur it will be bc gas was lower and so were prices on everything. Getting your actual base to turn out is way more important than a small percent of 13% of the population.

Dems win by small percentages. Trump was so popular with the minority vote that the Dems and press had to go all in and mobilize BLM, and had to make the Kids in cages propaganda. Those votes are way more important than you may think.
