They supported jail time for 'hate speech' and prohibiting children from attending public school if they were not vaccinated for COVID.

The meal went downhill from there.

My wife almost lost it when they announced young children had to be vaccinated for Covid or lose their 'privilege' to attend public school.

I merely told them our daughter back in the States had already chosen to home school her brood.

Country proposal:

We just take Alberta and Saskatchewan/Manitoba and deport our progressives to the rump Canada of BC and Ontario. (Quebec by that time will probably break off and become the French speaking ethno-state it has always been.)

Agreed. Our best friends are probably the smaller EU countries that didnt import tens of thousand of EU Muslims or Japan/South Korea.

My Mother retained her Canadian citizenship her entire life although she spent her last 60 in the US.

Eldest sister did the same.

Gives me no joy to see what is happening in Canada. The country has gone completely left wing. Their economy is failing, the standard of living is poor and the people are confused on exactly what to do about it.

The US was a great friend to Canada for many years., Gave them great trade advantages. However our people now need a level playing field. Our people need the jobs and income.

Sad to say I now expect Canada to go the exact same way as England.....and there is nothing we can do about it.

And when the Dems regain the White House the same will occur to all of us.
