It is appropriate to compare this to the death programs of the Nazis. The Nazis started forced sterilizations of "undesirables" (as defined by their ideology, mostly mentally ill germans). Then the started murdering babies who with birth defects and other problems followed by murdering adults in the concentration camps. These practices were labeled "euthanasia" but it was typical Leftist doublespeak. After the war began, the Einsatzgruppen murdered thousands of Jews in Poland, Ukraine, etc. The final step was the highly organized and efficient Holocaust.

When Leftist governments kill their own citizens, or gave doctors doing it, then it's a slippery slope to much worse. And it's happening today in supposedly advanced societies. Germany was considered very advanced before Hitler came to power in 1933.
