Immigration is pretty much a federal decision.

Where did your people immigrate from?

My ancestors were Texans (Texas being a sovereign country) who voted to join the American Union in Dec. of 1845

Several generations before that they were Ulster Scots who moved from one area of the British Empire (Ulster) to another area of the British Empire (backcountry of Pennsylvania)

My family never immigrated to the United States.

Of course, you realize that your ancestors crossed an ocean to arrive here. That's literally immigration.

No. One can only immigrate from one country to another country. Otherwise you are a settler.

By your definition, the Indians were immigrates.

And the use of "literally" in a sentence makes you sound like a 16 year old girl.

What kind of republican governor allows this? I get why Tampon Tim did it to Minn, but why are republican governors are allowing the destruction of communities in their state?

I get your point, but let's not forget the border is federal and we've presently got a party controlling the White House and the Senate that want this. Electing Trump and implementing mass deportations is the only answer - otherwise this kind of thing is only just beginning.
The Trump admin better go after the root of the problem which is that the federal govt is using our own tax money to give to all of these NGOs who are facilitating this invasion. We are being forced to pay for our own replacement.

If I'm a Republican governor I'm defending my cities and citizens from this kinda of community destruction.

It's often times Republican governors helping to bring them in

Governors of Indiana and Tennessee have both be in on the scam of brining in Syrians from their civil war and resettling them in their Red-Conservative States

Big business likes the cheap labor
You jokester. Tennessee gov. has brought in Syrians. Tennessee syrian population now makes up .02% of Tennessee's population. Indiana has balloned to .02% also. My goodness. Over run I tell you!!!!

https://worldpopulationreview.com/state-rankings/syrian-population-by-state

So you admit Republican Governors are in fact bringing in migrants....you just don't think the numbers are a big deal.

Cool...Thanks for admitting that it is happening

My data only confirms the numbers there. It doesn't show which governor is responsible. Do you worry about the .02%? Is it too much? Are you an American Indian?

Bull****

You have never indicated the slightest sympathy for those raped or killed by illegals.

Have never indicated the slightest concern for the thousands of fentanyl deaths.

what are you talking about? You have only been on this board for a few months. I have been on it since the original started around 2011 I think. Fentanyl is a useful drug and people should not abuse it. It is one of the many helpful drugs that are often abused. If you or a family member or friend abuses any dangerous drug you sh0uld get them help asap. Help is available but often underfunded or expensive because we as a society choose to spend our money punishing those that have drug problems rather than to provide the help they desperately need.

It more like migration...not immigration

[migration: The movement of a person or people from one country, locality, place of residence, etc., to settle in another;

immigration: process through which individuals become permanent residents or citizens of another country.]

We moved from one area under the soverignity of the British Crown...to another area under the sovereignty of the British Crown.

Not to mention my family did it legally and purchased land grants from the State and then started farms they worked themselves....no welfare/no illegal immigration/no NGOs

But the Ocean thing is right....took a dangerous 6 week to 4 month trip by boat.

We did not get on a plane or overstay a student visa.

I know this is what we are told but what can companies do with an average 67 iq Haitian? Racism

Yep, it's unlikely the average IQ of a Haitian is 67.

On the other hand you have probably never met a single individual who ever **** on a living room floor because they didn't know how to use a flush toilet.

This site says 82 is the average IQ in Haiti

Whatever the real number its not good

https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/average-iq-by-country
Haiti is the absolute worst ****hole in the entire western hemisphere.

No other country, regardless how poor, even comes close.

There is a REASON for it.

*My ancestors did immigrate to the Spanish Viceroy of New Spain....never to Mexico (since it did not exist)...under a paid system of land grants bought from the King of Spain...and then later stagged a violent independence movement once the new dictator in Mexico city tried to abolish the old Mexican Constitution of 1824

With good reason.

White and Black Americans consistently overestimate Indian ancestors in their family tree

https://blog.23andme.com/articles/native-american-dna

[In 2015, 23andMe published a study showing that over 5% of our research participants who identify as African American have at least 2% DNA predicted to most closely match an Indigenous American reference population. While self-identified European Americans are generally less likely to have Indigenous American genetic ancestry, the numbers vary widely from one state to the next: ]

The state representative for this area should have been raising all sorts of hell about this as it was happening. Someone is getting rich from this. I'd bet a big Dewine supporter. Humans accidently pass diseases to each other all the time. (and the brown skinned Spanish were the ones serving as the point of contact on those pathogens most of the time)

It certainly not the fault of any Europeans that Indian populations had been isolated for millennia and had no natural immunity to the deasses being passed around the Asia-Africa-Europe.

Except for a younger brothers exploits in occasional drug use and his arrest for seeds in his console, I have never experienced drug problems with any close or family member. 7 years in TYC convinced me that the things we as a society do to drug offenders as punishment is worse than the drug itself.

Bull**** deflection still again.

You are constantly promoted legalizing fentanyl despite over 100,000 overdoses each year. Constantly promoting fentanyl's increased accessibility.

That takes a special kind of arrogance.

I have no reason to lie to you about this.

But for anyone , much less a teacher to promote increasing the accessibility of these various killers , just blows me away.

Simple

Volunteered at a homeless shelter for years. At least 30% of our 'clients' were mentally ill. Most so brain damaged they were terrified to go to the hospital. Doctors routinely informed us that drug use was the over riding cause of their mental afflictions. Eventually most of them disappeared. Either leaving the area or dying. Malnutrition, exposure, overdoses, violence all took a toll . And no one except Catholic Charities gave a damn. The county would often give them a free bus ticket so they would die somewhere else.

B. Knights of Columbus : we help financially stressed parishioners. Not unusual to see a family wiped out attempting to save a drug addicted child. And yes an alcoholic member of the family is also devastating.

C. Friends and associates. Families with kids hooked on heroin at school followed by suicides. Have had SIX suicides of people we know in just the last 4 months. Hearing about an overdose about every 4-5 months.

D. Don't know about 'Big Time ' rancher ….but I did know one who blew his brains out with a handgun. Or at least that's what his son claimed.

That you are obsessed about who I vote for in the context of all the deaths caused by drugs you want to legalize …..is completely bizarre to me.

Your legalization would inevitably kill hundreds of thousands of additional people who deserved a better destiny. And the medical community overwhelmingly states the same.

I never knew you did all that. I admire that tremendously.
Czech Republic.France. Germany. Ireland.Netherlands. Norway, .Portugal., Ukraine, .Italy, Mexico, and 11 other countries have decriminalized drugs. The logic is that instead of punishing people with addiction problems with jail time society is better off spending money to help the mentally ill, addicted and habitual drug users. America's war on drugs has worked about as well as the war on poverty. Healing and education works better than punitive measures. Data proves it. It also works to slow down the cartels. Ask you local dealer how he feels about it. He will sell hell no. Whaat will he do id drugs are legal and the bottom drops ouit of the illegal market?

Years ago illegals routinely ate the pigeons I shot off our fence lines.

Once caught an illegal having sex with one of my calves. Later found out the dude had 4 children.

On another occasion my foreman complained about an illegal living in the DRAINAGE PIPE by our labor houses. Apparently the poor guy was a drug addict and stealing whatever he could get his hands on.

Situations like this are NOT unusual along the border.

People in the rest of the country are now seeing with their own eyes what the Biden Harris policies are doing.

It certainly not the fault of any Europeans that Indian populations had been isolated for millennia and had no natural immunity to the deasses being passed around the Asia-Africa-Europe region.
You prolly forgot about this. Im pretty sure its taught in all high school history classes:

Smallpox blankets" refers to a historical practice where European colonists, particularly British officers like Sir Jeffrey Amherst, intentionally gave Native American tribes blankets contaminated with smallpox during the 18th century,

Its now pretty well established that most "Europeans gave Indians small pox blankets" stories are outright fabrications.

[Some scholars doubt that General Jeffery Amherst intentionally distributed smallpox-infected blankets to Native Americans during the French and Indian War.

....19th-century historian Francis Parkman. Parkman came across correspondence in which Sir Jeffery Amherst, commander in chief of the British forces in North America in the early 1760s, discussed its use with Col. Henry Bouquet, a subordinate on the western frontier during the French and Indian War.

For all the outrage the account has stirred over the years, there's only one clearly documented instance of a colonial attempt to spread smallpox during the war, and oddly, Amherst probably didn't have anything to do with it. There's also no clear historical verdict on whether the biological attack even worked.]

[In Indian Country, it is an accepted fact that white settlers distributed items, such as blankets contaminated with smallpox and other infectious diseases, aiming to reduce the population of Native people resisting their Manifest Destiny. These accounts have left a legacy of trauma and distrust in Native communities that persist to this day. It comes as quite a surprise to Indigenous people to learn that a controversy exists regarding the veracity of these events. This article aims to answer some of the lingering questions while shedding light on the controversy.]

Not to mention that the real massive decline in Western Hemisphere populations took place within 75-100 years after Columbus landed....so by the 1600s. By the time English colonists/Americans can into conflict in the 1700s and 1800s small pox was already long established in the Western hemisphere. And it took place through a natural process of non-immune Indian populations meeting European traders and sleeping in close proximity to them/living in close proximity to them and then spreading the disease on to more isolated Indian tribal groups further in the interior....not to mention many researchers now think it was domestic animals that were the biggest spreaders of such diseases.

[According to a 2022 study, many of the most devastating diseases for Indigenous people in the Americas originated with domesticated animals, and although there is no evidence of nonhuman reservoirs for smallpox, the disease is thought to have evolved from horses. Furthermore, because horses were not domesticated in North or South America prior to the arrival of the European settlers, the disease was one that Indigenous people did not have prior exposure to.]

[Smallpox was lethal to many Native Americans, resulting in sweeping epidemics and repeatedly affecting the same tribes. After its introduction to Mexico in 1519, the disease spread across South America, devastating indigenous populations in what are now Colombia, Peru and Chile during the sixteenth century. The disease was slow to spread northward due to the sparse population of the northern Mexico desert region....It reached the Mohawk nation in 1634, the Lake Ontario area in 1636, and the lands of other Iroquois tribes by 1679. Between 1613 and 1690 the Iroquois tribes living in Quebec suffered twenty-four epidemics, almost all of them caused by smallpox. By 1698 the virus had crossed the Mississippi, causing an epidemic that nearly obliterated the Quapaw Indians of Arkansas.]

How in the world can you exam the historical record of the state of Texas and insinuate that only whites were racist ?

Indians massacred each other for centuries. The winners secure in the belief of their superiority,

Comanches killed and raped Mexicans for centuries, convinced of their racial superiority.

Comanches killed and raped Texans for decades , convinced of their racial superiority.

Indians practiced slavery, Mexicans practiced slavery, blacks practiced slavery.

The same guy who wants to legalize heroin and fentanyl, now wants to play statistic games about the 100,000 Hatian illegals.

Go figure.

No doubt you are all busted up about that 11 year old boy who was senselessly slaughtered by that Hatian illegals.

Or was the kid unqualified for your compassion ?

' Survival of the fittest ' and all.

I saw what the father said about his sons death not being used as a political statement. I respect his wishes

Bull**** deflection still again.

You are constantly promoted legalizing fentanyl despite over 100,000 overdoses each year. Constantly promoting fentanyl's increased accessibility.

That takes a special kind of arrogance.

Often found within the education field.

A consequence of decades dealing with kids who have little choice but to say ' Yes sir'.
How can you say I have never said anything? I have been around a long time. I do think drugs should be decriminalized. Countries that have done it have lowered their drug use rates. The only promotion I do is what is read on this board. I know landlords have a better rep than teachers but I just followed in the path of both grandmothers, a great uncle. both parents. I thought about becoming a big shot landlord but it didnt sound fun.

Look fella ,

I have simply seen too many people die from drugs.
Too many family's utterly destroyed.

Have talked too many physicians in too many hospitals and they ALL say the same thing.

The likes of meth, heroin and fentanyl are killers. Even when they don't kill they almost always cause PERMANENT BRAIN DAMAGE.

I have no reason to lie to you about this.

But for anyone , much less a teacher to promote increasing the accessibility of these various killers , just blows me away.

Oh by the way…… my wife was a high school teacher for a few years when we first got married.

She would be the first to tell you owning rental property is more fun. However we are not 'big shots'. Merely very comfortable.

Peace Be With You.
I havent been a classroom teacher in many years. I have been in admin at various levels and behavior. I never talk about drugs in school except to point out the dangers. And they are dangerous. Even pot. With the exception of an enhanced brownie in Mexico and I have never done any drug except beer. I sure dont talk about them to minors or in a professional setting. I do believe they should be decriminalized and the money spent on rehab, therapy and help rather than prison/punishment for for non violent offennders. I also believe Americas drug war has giiven rise to cartels.

Except for a younger brothers exploits in occasional drug use and his arrest for seeds in his console, I have never experienced drug problems with any close or family member. 7 years in TYC convinced me that the things we as a society do to drug offenders as punishment is worse than the drug itself.

I have often wondered how or why a big time rancher on the boarder morhped into a landlord had so much experience from people dying of drugs. I never thought your two careers would put you in close contact with lots of drs. Just wondering not calling you a liar.

You remind me of another poster that omce swore he would never vote for Trump again.

Thank you for the "Peace be with you". I respnd with a "And with you."

Lets say we do decriminalize drugs and drug use skyrockets along with death, abuse etc, even with support/rehab and it's out of control. What would you do then?
