Ukraine blew up an ammo depot "deep inside Russia" one week after Biden showed openness to using NATO-made missiles. Putin said using these weapons would mean that nato is at war with Russia. So now Biden is triggering WW3 on the way out?

Will there even be an election?

Read somewhere drones were used in the attack, not missiles.

Unlikely Biden's handlers will escalate the war further prior to the November election. As their primary concern is staying in power. Bringing on WW3 after the election is a reasonable possibility; although the American people remain relatively clueless in this regard.

I think we get it one way or another. If the dems stay then the Russia war escalates. If Trump comes back then Israel will think they have the go ahead to do their IRan war. Hopefully, Trump can reign them in but they think they run us so we'll see how that goes.

For all of the anti Trump rhetoric constantly bleated by the media; his record in maintaining peace is pretty good.

Certainly better than that of the Biden - Harris administration.

Unfortunately it's likely that Harris is going to be our next commander in chief.

You do know that Ukraine also has its own developed cruise missiles as well, right?

Seems that you forget which country was truly the brains in the Soviet Union. The navy was built in Ukraine by Ukrainian engineers, most of the nuclear scientists of the USSR were Ukrainian. Most of the medical researchers and pioneers in the USSR were Ukrainians.

They have a well developed military hardware industry in terms of creating it, they just lack in the supply dept due to their agreements with Russia after independence.

Yet another reason why Russia wants all of Ukraine...They actually have people that can do shlt.

If they have cruise missiles, why haven't they been hitting deep inside Russia already? Seems your point is that they want our long range missiles instead of using their own (which they apparently haven't been using).

OK, but so what? Doesn't change the fact that NATO selling them long range weapons will be seen as aggressive NATO action by Russia.

Just one domino closer.

Trump is arguably the most anti-war POTUS we have ever had - at least as far as the modern era goes. Like Reagan, he believes in "peace through strength" (which in a hostile world is the only way It can possibly be achieved) which necessitates a strong and feared military that any adversary with at least half of a brain wouldn't dare challenge. I am convinced that if the imposition of Biden/Harris hadn't happened in 2020 the Ukraine War, the war in the Middle East, and China's virtually inevitable assault on Taiwan would have never happened.

Hope it happens.

Possibly at that point the American public finally wakes up and raises hell.

And with such widespread protests ( led by leftists and minorities of course ) our DC war mongers in turn will finally get the message that their escalations have minimal support.

They have been hitting deep inside Russia for months. Seems you haven't been paying attention. Oil refineries, air fields, weapons depots, trains carrying military equipment from North Korea.

Fair enough, appreciate the info, they certainly have the right to do so.

Just prefer that NATO not get drawn into this further by providing deep offensive missiles and capabilities.

Americans have become strangely passive

Even major riots don't really move them to action. Nor do millions of people pouring over the border.

I truly think the only two things would shake most Americans out of the stupor they seem to be in....

A major economic collapse (ala 1930s style) which is unlikely to happen...or a major war with another nation that demanded a large scale draft of young people.

D.C. politicians can do just about anything else and Americans will gripe a little but carry on.

My old friend from Argentina flew in today and is staying at our house.

An avid world traveler Claudio is shocked at our border policies.

He says it should be obvious to anyone that allowing millions to enter the United States each year and providing them with food, shelter and medical care will collapse the economy.

Over dinner Claudio kept asking me ….
' Why are they going this ? '

Didn't have an answer.

If current policies are continued, the Ukrainians are going to take their place in history alongside the Moabites, Edomites, and Jebusites.

So if they want to have anything that resembles a future, they need to overthrow Zelensky and sue for peace.

From your lips to God's ears, but I was using the 270 to win website to look at pathways to victory. North Carolina is a must win. With the implosion of Mark Robinson's campaign, you are counting on a lot of ticket splitting to get Trump over the finish line.

If he loses North Carolina, he has to win Nevada, Arizona, and Wisconsin to make up for it.

Unless NATO actually fires a missile, NATO is not going to war with Russia. Putin can scream all the rhetoric he wants, but NATO has not fired one shot against Russia. You really think that Russia and Putin are going to move against NATO in retaliation for Ukraine hitting an ammo depot? Russia IS NOT striking on NATO.

Calm down, Russia cannot finish off Ukraine. Any dreams Putin had of taking on NATO died when he could barely hold Crimea and China IS NOT taking on NATO for Russia.

Middle East is the real issue with Iran, but that will stay Regional for another 2000 years. Nobody in Europe, Asia or North America is starting WW3 over the sandbox. We will protect the straights, keep the oil flowing and let them do their thing. This has been going on since Rome.

I can understand how after years and years of listening to our mealy-mouthed politicians say one thing and do something else it may be difficult to interpret someone as transparent as Vladimir Putin or Viktor Orban.

But he's basically come out and said that "look, we know that the Ukrainians aren't capable of operating and programming these systems in the absence of NATO advisors. If you do all the background work, use your satellite warfare technology to identify targets and have NATO advisors aim them just because you have someone wearing a yellow and blue flag patch push a button doesn't mean you aren't responsible. You will have effectively declared war on us, and we will respond accordingly."

Not that hard to understand.

Of course it's true. If it wasn't true, then there would be no need to make statements that would broaden this into a Russia/NATO war, and the Russian military could simply take it out of the hide of the Ukrainians. Outside of Clown World, there's no incentive for the Russians to hit London or Paris in exchange for strikes on their territory when simply flattening Kiev or Lviv would suffice.

There are needs for Putin to make statements like that so he satisfies his populace on 2 fronts: 1) to make the Ukrainians look sub human and incapable of anything good so he can continue to sell the need for his meaningless war of Russian Manifest Destiny, and 2) So he can continue to look strong in the eyes of the people in any way shape or form so he continues to have a head attached to his body.

These are literally the only reasons for him to say it. Ukraine historically has been the place of higher scientific and technological achievement in that region, and he absolutely knows it, and absolutely hates it.

Nuts. The military knows how corrupt Ukraine is. They're not giving the details of these systems to the UAF only to have a junior Azov sell them to the highest bidder. Wake up Trey. The Russians have the largest nuclear arsenal in the world and the second largest army. Restraint on the part of Russian leadership is the only reason Ukraine isn't a glowing hole in the ground with Zelensky at the bottom of it. The idea that Ukraine could beat Russia or take Crimea back is about as fictional as Bruce Jenner becoming Kaitlyn Jenner.

And the missile that hit Toropets was a Ukrainian Neptune missile launched along with hundreds of drones. They developed that missile over a decade ago and have been tweaking it the entirety of the war. The statements by Putin are all to save face in front of his countrymen, and apparently a bunch of posters on this site and others like it.

Nobody is trying to broaden this into a Russia/NATO war. NATO is NOT taking part and Russia is NOT firing on NATO. EVEN if NATO was providing advisors, Russia is NOT attacking NATO.

Russia is receiving aid from China, Iran and N Korea. That is part of having allies. We are not happy with China over their support of Russia, but the US is NOT going to war with China over it.

Not every Nation needs the same support, Russia needs Chinese trade and oil support not intelligence or military weapons training. It needs Iran's dones. N Korea's ammo. Ukraine needs NATO's weapon systems and intel sharing to compete.

The aid is not the same, but has the same result - Continue fighting. Starting to make a little more sense to you? Neither Russia nor Ukraine is attacking anyone else, they can't even support the fight they are in. If Putin all of a sudden had a Eastern threat from say Alaska - Game over. He can't handle the logistics of fighting little Ukraine.

Do not even think Nukes. No one is going Nukes, except for energy.

Hate Putin or not ,,, he has shown surprising restraint up to now .

None of which alters the fact that if this situation was reversed the American people would demand a stop to missile attacks supplied by a foreign enemy.

And our president ( regardless of party ) would be forced to act.
