The rank and file longshoremen are Trump voters out to tank the economy before the election. But for Trump, the economy was doing great. We need to turn the page with a holistic approach because it is only through embracing a holistic approach can we move forward with an economy that works for everyone.

I'm all for unions, but we have a problem with this guy and the dockworkers strike with 45,000 longshoremen striking from Maine to Texas, don't we?

The US has some of the most inefficient ports in the world, and US consumers pay for every penny of it. Don't kid yourself about who will ultimately bear the cost of this blackmail. You will.BluesBear said:
I guess you can't take a photo with anyone anymore.....this Union provides $ to both sides.....President of the Union makes over $700K. You can't stop Automation.....why is your job more protective than all the auto manufacturing jobs? Most have no higher education and now you will make more than the average engineer? LOL.... My bet is the Union can't afford a long drawn out battle.....
If I'm shippers, I'm looking to acquire and build new Ports - fully automated and when the next contract renewal is up - F em'.

Dem administration realizes what a prolong strike will do to Harris's election chances. An unholy amount of pressure is no doubt getting heaped on management.
Workers will win their demands in record time.
this weekends news cycle will determine if it approaches 14 days.KaiBear said:
Delaying an election does not put Harris in power.
Empty store shelves weeks before the election puts Trump in power.
Dems will impose a settlement within 14 days.
