I think Trump got some very very bad advice on personnel. Whoever recommended Wray should be tarred, feathered and run out of DC.

When Wray came out and said white supremacy groups were the biggest threat in the country after allowing the summer of love (and doing nothing about it) it was clear which side he was playing for.

It's entirely possible that Patel will just do some window dressing and it will be business as usual (i.e. cover up crimes for democrats and persecute conservatives). But I have a different feeling now. I think Trump learned from his mistakes and will put competent MAGA folks in place. Bondi personally saw the misbehavior of prosecutors vs Trump and, if approved, she will be in charge.
