I don't know if it's a watershed moment but it's a huge issue.
You have a piece of equipment that has very real, very problematic information on it. Yeah that's damning but it's not really that huge imo though it would have impacted the election, maybe.
You then have a coordinated response from the intelligence agencies calling it Russian disinformation which, as it turns out, was false.
You then have the press coordinating 24 hour coverage of how this isn't real and Russia, Russia, Russia.
You then have social media companies deplatforming people for, what it turned out, was entirely correct information and they were clearly colluding with the intel agencies and, in at least some small way, the White House to actively sensor information from the public.
The laptop, in and of itself, isn't really that big of a deal imo. Everything that happened after is a much, much bigger story.
All good points - and the fact that porto was not railing against all of that stuff, shows his true colors.
The control exerted over social media companies by the White House is probably the biggest scandal in history. It's a much bigger issue than failing audits, it's a bigger issue that Watergate and personally I think you would be hard pressed to find a bigger issue in our history.
The fact that it wasn't the lead story on every news agency for months is an indictment of our press.
It's like they didn't realize if the government can silence anyone they want, for any reason, then they may silence you.
"Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak."
I personally think it was big pharma and covid... forced jab, lockdowns, denial of IVM and government getting into the doctor's office and throwing everything at the doctor to prevent them from prescribing off label treatments...
They did everything in their power to 'sell at the US Taxpayer's expense' hundreds of millions of dollars of the jab.
Their attack on the first amendment during Hunter's laptop scandal is basically the same thing...
In both cases, they attacked anyone and everyone on social media that went against the liberal criminal narrative. They blocked or hid anything counter to their money making lies.
Trumpists are angry about lockdowns that were imposed by Greg Abbott et al., so their solution is to execute one of the guys that Donald Trump chose to lead the coronavirus task force.
You can't make this stuff up.
So bad. Such another way wrong post by you. Did Fauci fund and authorize gain of function?
Texas wasnt locked down like other states. Just because your boss needs a pardon from mass murder doesnt mean you have to post 100% incorrect statements.
Texas was locked down, just like other states. I guess it was so bad you didn't even notice.
Not even close. California was awful. So bad, my work partner moved back home to Texas during it. I went to stores at will. I never wore my face mask (one guy even thanked me in Buc ees in Temple - he wasnt wearing his either - and it was as crowded as always.) My kids continued to practice their sports.
Yes - some stuff was closed. But a lockdown...no. We didnt have that in Texas.
California. Italy. You couldnt leave your house. That is a lock down.
Your old boss trying to get you to change the narrative in the face of his upcoming prosecution for crimes biden may pardon him for? Like mass murder.
Again, Texas issued a shutdown order in March 2020 and a mask mandate in July. The restrictions were lifted in phases throughout the rest of the year and into the next. California may have been worse, but that's beside the point.
Trump isn't stupid. He knew the lockdowns were necessary. He knew you'd be angry about it. His overriding concern was to make sure you were angry at someone not named Donald Trump. He made Fauci the scapegoat, and it worked brilliantly.
Of course it also cost thousands of lives. Trump made his followers so scared of the Trump vaccine that many refused to take it, and the death rate among Republicans rose accordingly. But enough survived to put him over the top in 2024, and that's what matters to him.
