Case in point

We attended the annual Christmas gala last night of some wealthy ( and very nice ) friends of my wife.

Go every year as the house is crammed packed with every conceivable Christmas decoration. The food is great, open bar, live chorus singing , and good company.

The hosts also own a 2nd home in Las Vegas and travel extensively throughout the world.

Yet their only son is 38 years old, unemployed and has lived in their home all his life.

I make a point to talk with him every year. He is a very nice fellow, but generally quiet and sad.
