Yes, she is very beautiful.

And certainly a better Christian than most First Lady's.
Yeah. Her nude lesbian shots really exemplify what Christianity is all about.

A. The returning First Lady is in fact a devout Christian.
B. Nudity is not a sin if done tastefully.
C. However in your case nudity would be an abomination.
It seems that it was a problem and wasn't considered "tasteful" in the fable of Adam and Eve. I don't know any Christian theology that advocates nudity and "tasteful" lesbian nude scenes. You may want to ask your pastor what he thinks about it. I thought homosexuality was a sin. Apparently, Christianity is changing its stance, as long as it is practiced "tastefully."

Her only real 'problem' in your eyes is she is married to Donald Trump.

Have a nice day.
Neither Melania nor Trump are practicing Christians. Most posters on this board would question someone's Christianity that hold her pro abortion views. Christians went over the edge when Michelle Obama exposed her arms in a sleeveless dress, but readily excuse Melania's nude lesbian scene.

Melania is well known as a practicing Catholic.

Your hatred of all things Trump clouds your judgment.

It's a numbers game, especially on the internet. Regardless what Trump does or does not do people like you will continue to rail against the guy.

As I recall, in FBC Southern Baptist Sunday school, I was taught Catholics, and Mormons are not real Christians, and wouldn't make it to the hereafter unless they made a profession of Christ and were baptized. The last I checked, Baptists and other Protestants consider nude lesbian photos not acceptable behavior of a Christian, nor is nudity with children by clergy, oh wait….

What I dislike is Trump's ignorance of history, ignorance of the importance of America's foreign policy role on the international stage, his dangerous isolationist views, lack of economic understanding, his grift, erratic behavior and judgement, his autocratic tendencies, and the danger he presents from being a malignant narcissist (a mental disorder).

He's done a few things I like, but I can't overlook the overall danger he presents.

It's like folks who hate the New York Yankees because of all of their World Series Championships ( especially in the 50's and 60's ).

Well the Roman Catholic Church is kind of like the Yankees.

They have been the largest, most dominant, educated, and charity driven Christian Faith in human history.

My Sunday school teacher was a deacon at FBC, a Southern Baptist Church. He also told us that African Americans were black because they bore the mark of Cain. An older retired pastor told us the same. Catholics have long been frowned upon and considered to have heretical beliefs by Baptists and some Protestants.

The thing people like TS never seem to get is that professing to be a Christian doesn't mean claiming to be perfect or claiming that you've never sinned and/or you don't have un-Christian things or behavior in your past and that you may even still struggle with in the present. Since "ALL have sinned and come short of the glory…." past transgressions (again that ALL of us have) aren't some automatic disqualifier that anyone claiming to be a Christian isn't sincere or should be automatically discredited in their claim.
What a cop out excuse for not following the teachings of Jesus. Aren't Christians supposed to exhibit the fruits of the spirit? You don't see that here on this board. But what you do see is on this board is Matthew 7:15-20 played out - You will know them by their fruits …

You are (not surprisingly) deliberately trying to equate apples and oranges. Of course believing Christians should - with God's help, which is the key - always strive to follow the teachings of Christ. The post you are describing as "a cop out" was a reaction to your inference that Melania Trump -or for that matter anybody else claiming to be a Christian - should be automatically discredited because of known sins from their past (in her case nude pics from decades ago). The point is that we're ALL imperfect fallen beings with the only difference being Christians have decided to accept the God given gift of redemption through Christ's death on the cross and have also decided to ask forgiveness of their sins while additionally repenting of their sins (i.e. with God's help turn away from sin going forward). On the other hand it never means that someone is claiming perfection per their past or their present.

Not remotely off the mark according to every psychiatrist and psychologist I have even spoken with.

Even the most hardcore ; aloof atheist among them willingly admitted Christians and other people of faith lead happier lives and were far less prone to depression.

But you be you.

A Christian should be baptized but the baptism doesn't make that person a Christian.

A husband/wife should be monogamous but the monogamy doesn't make that husband/wife married.

Look back to the thief on the cross. Christ said "today you will be with me in paradise." Christ said nothing to him about baptism.

Just a suggestion, rather than being argumentative or cynical, try discussing. If pride is in the way, create a new screen name and account to have your discussion. You wouldn't be the first person to come under the cover of darkness to ask questions.

Would you be so eager to excuse or overlook a Democrat with a similar background? I doubt it. Repentance is supposedly a part of seeking forgiveness for past sins. Melania isn't repentant. Neither is Donnie. He even says he hasn't asked God for forgiveness because he hasn't needed to. Would you encourage children to emulate them? I doubt it.

Even if someone claims forgiveness of their past, that doesn't qualify them for public trust. The past is suggestive of the future, and should be a factor. The character and mental stability of the person seeking the presidency should determining factors.

It seems that it was a problem and wasn't considered "tasteful" in the fable of Adam and Eve. I don't know any Christian theology that advocates nudity and "tasteful" lesbian nude scenes. Doubt it

Grew up going to southern Baptists churches all my life and never heard the pastors, deacons, or church staff talk about Catholic or Mormons

They talked about what we believed….not others
My Sunday school teacher was a deacon at FBC, a Southern Baptist Church. He also told us that African Americans were black because they bore the mark of Cain..

That seems even less likely than your other story

It's like folks who hate the New York Yankees because of all of their World Series Championships ( especially in the 50's and 60's ).

Well the Roman Catholic Church is kind of like the Yankees.

They have been the largest, most dominant, educated, and charity driven Christian Faith in human history.

Over 2000 years and still # 1.

Have a great day.
How about the Mormons. Are you as charitable toward them? They're not as large of a cult, but they do a few good things too.

I love Mormons, Jews, Baptist's, Hindus , and Muslims.

Feel sorry for atheists as they have nothing to look forward to; no community to be happily involved with.

That's commendable. How about non-believers?

That's an uninformed statement that is far off the mark.

Not remotely off the mark according to every psychiatrist and psychologist I have even spoken with.

Even the most hardcore ; aloof atheist among them willingly admitted Christians and other people of faith lead happier lives and were far less prone to depression.

But you be you.

Merry Christmas !

You need to talk with psychiatrists and psychologists who are not aligned with organized religion.

That won't hold up. I know plenty who don't say that. In fact, Christians are just as prone to depression as anyone else. I don't know any atheists who've committed suicide, but I know numerous actively professing Christians who have committed suicide. Mental health issues are not uncommon and are independent of religious beliefs.

Very comfortable with what both religious and non religious mental health professionals have told me over the years.

In addition there are studies that suggest ( not prove ) that people of Faith also are economically stronger than atheists.

Not even close.

I used the thief on the cross as an example. He had a change of heart but never had a chance to be baptized.

In my example of a marriage I said they should be monogamous but the monogamy doesn't make them married.

A Christian should be baptized because Christ wants us to be baptized. A deathbed conversion or the thief on the cross don't have a chance to be baptized but Christ knows their heart.

Apparently, Christianity is changing its stance, as long as it is practiced "tastefully."

yawn

Nudity is not a sin.

The First Lady is a practicing Christian

Always enjoy anti Catholic silliness.

Happy holidays to you!

Thanks

At the Palazzo Hotel in Las Vegas for Christmas. Kind of weird but highly amusing to see Santa at a craps table.

Visiting son # 1 who moved here a couple of years ago.

Very comfortable with what both religious and non religious mental health professionals have told me over the years.

People of Faith …..including Hindus , Jews , Muslims, Mormons , Buddhists and even Catholics lead happier lives and are less prone to depression than atheists.

In addition there are studies that suggest ( not prove ) that people of Faith also are economically stronger than atheists.

Although it remains unclear why.

( no I don't have any links )

As much as you want to believe it, atheists don't have any more propensity for depression than people of religious views..

Studies vary...

But there seems to be strong evidence that religious belief is a strong coping mechanism for depression and anxiety and can help relieve the worst symptoms

[A large and growing volume of research suggests that religious or spiritual (R/S) beliefs and practices may be used to cope with or adapt to stressful life circumstances. Although there are many genetic, developmental, and environmental factors contributing to the onset and maintenance of depression, failure to cope with life stress is often a major underlying factor]

Quit reading at "baptized"

Sincerely,
Thief on the Cross
You don't believe in baptism being a requirement?

A Christian should be baptized but the baptism doesn't make that person a Christian.

A husband/wife should be monogamous but the monogamy doesn't make that husband/wife married.

Look back to the thief on the cross. Christ said "today you will be with me in paradise." Christ said nothing to him about baptism.

Just a suggestion, rather than being argumentative or cynical, try discussing. If pride is in the way, create a new screen name and account to have your discussion. You wouldn't be the first person to come under the cover of darkness to ask questions.

I'm just pointing out the inconsistencies in what you hold up as a virtue with your religion. You're essentially advocating living your life as you want, as long as you remember to ask for forgiveness, you're good to go.

Quit beating the wind
Baptism as a requirement has been a source of debate in the past. More recently, in some sects it has been dismissed as a requirement. The Catholics still seem to think it is necessary for salvation (with some unusual exceptions) and to become a member of the church.

Getting back to the point, Melania doesn't exemplify what I was taught is acceptable Christian behavior, nor does DJT, nor Matt Gaetz. I find it odd that the theocrats on this board want to embrace them because they make appeals for their support. A pretty good con job.

I will accept the comments of the medical community, both religious and ( strongly ) atheist over that of an anonymous internet poster …..no offense.

The Palazzo is my favorite property on the Strip and my wife insisted on staying on the Strip this time.

Otherwise I prefer Red Rocks or Green Valley Ranch off strip.
Incredibly crowded…..have never seen so many Asians and other foreign nationals throughout Vegas. Would have never guessed such an international crowd .

Visit son # 1 tomorrow. My wife is more excited about that than any of the dinners or shows we have booked.

Best wishes to you and your family.

Nudity is not a sin.

The First Lady is a practicing Christian

How about Saul/Paul. Does his behavior exemplify what you were taught is acceptable Christian behavior. Maybe Peter, the guy the denied Christ three times

Or David ….literally said to be beloved by God

(King David committed a number of crimes, including adultery, murder, and war crimes)

Yep, you would never hear the requirement of baptism for salvation in a SBC congregation. As a public confession and for church membership yes, but for salvation, no.

Acts 10:43-45 clears that subject up. While Peter was still speaking of Jesus the Holy Spirit fell on them and they were praising Him and speaking in tongues.

The Holy Spirit only inhabits believers. These folks though not baptized, were believers in Christ.
