We've read and heard that argument for most of 2024, it isn't any more valid now than when the Supreme Court voted unanimously that it was garbage.

So, what happened to a duly elected official having a right to a legal "peaceful" transfer of power.

I suppose that only counts if that elected official matches your ideology.

Shocking ... the LWNJ anti-democratic election deniers.

As long as they peacefully protest, there won't be an issue. Protesting the new President happens just about every 4 years, going back centuries. You'd think some of you were toddlers.

So you got "peaceful protest" from "block him from taking power"? No wonder you believed the BLM riots were mere peaceful protests.

But election denying is bad, we have heard over and over again, election denying is bad.
Quote:

A political movement called "14th Now" has been holding protests in Washington, D.C., from Friday to Sunday, gathering at Franklin Park and the Lincoln Memorial.

"Donald J. Trump, an adjudicated insurrectionist, remains constitutionally DISQUALIFIED from assuming the presidency under Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment. Congress must honor their oaths by objecting to his electoral votes on January 6. Peacefully, WE THE PEOPLE demand that they do," a blurb from the movement's website reads.

Sure, they can peacefully protest, I see no issue with it at all.

But, R's have been condemned for "election denying" for years, way way before Jan. 6th.

So again, what is wrong for the goose, should be considered wrong for the gander.

They want Congress to block him from office based upon the law and their interpretation of J6. I fully support their right to have their own interpretation of that horrible event, and to peacefully protest.

Why are you guys always feigning shock when I support people's rights? That's all I ever do. Talk about Americans having ridiculous freedom and huge, just huge numbers of rights.

It is simply alternate reality to claim that he organized or incited a riot. He simply didn't. He even told to them to peacefully march.

Instead, this is an agenda, based on falsehood, to try and deny him his duly elected position. And that is simply all this is.

I certainly support their right to protest him. Not to create a false narrative, as the New York court created to convict him of a felony. This is simply a bogus attempt to deny Trump the presidency.

That is the crux of the matter, they.can ask for whatever they want. They can demonstrate all they want. Follow the law, don't break into Congress, don't threaten Congress, don't attack Capital Police. Really low bar to ask and demonstrate.

Let's see what happens today. Gonna be a blizzard today, so that will limit people willing to go.

There may be protests but they should be peaceful. If for some awful reason they are not, the law enforcement people should step in immediately. What I will never understand is arguing January 6 last time was ok. That was a deliberate attempt to vacate the results of the election by force….total abomination incited by President Trump. Part of the genius of our founding fathers was (and remains) the primacy of the rule of law, and not violence, to govern our elections.

The intellectual dishonesty is off the charts.

You are making a false comparison between talk of the national guard forcing new votes, illegitimate alternate electors, rioting at the Capitol to get Congress to stop the peaceful transfer of power, public talk of hanging Mike Pence,

to.....

a future planned and permitted peaceful protest.

I agree with you, Trump had no part in what the dictionary calls insurrection, zealots call a selfie stick guided tour.

Why would you not support their right to be wrong about politics though? I disagree with their narrative, agree with the dictionary, and fully support their right to any narrative.

The election is over. None of your rhetoric here resonated with the American voters.

Imagine supporting a party whose policies are so out of touch with Americans that they voted for a twice impeached, election denying felon instead.

Says a lot more about you than Trump voters.

A couple of points. These guys are not denying the election results. Rather, they are saying Trump is disqualified under the Constitution (Amendment 14) from holding the office. If Elon Musk is elected in 2028, I'll be joining a similar group, so long as Article 2 is still in effect. You probably will too.

These clowns are wrong. The Supreme Court has already decided the matter.

These idiots are not being egged on by Kamala Harris. She'll be filling the shoes Mike Pence wore four years ago, certifying her loss. Like Pence, she'll perform her duties.

If morons want to peacefully protest, let them. The Supreme Court also decided that issue in the Westboro Baptists case. Reasonable time, space and manner and whatnot. People can be dumb as a box of rocks. These guys are. Get back to me when this gets violent.

That picture seems to show a really, really big crowd, doesn't it?
