I don't agree.

As an army veteran, I want someone that has had boots on the ground and experience with what is important in combat.

That's what will improve recruiting and hopefully reignite the U.S. military.

It's pretty tough to follow a guy wearing a dress into combat.

We will see, but I think it's a good pick and most of my veteran buddies overwhelmingly think so, as well.

It's time to turn it back to people that want to serve, know how to serve, and can do the job.

I hope the nomination sticks.

He's exactly what I think the veterans and current forces need.

We shall see, hopefully.

John Calhoun was a Yale grad who never served in the army at all and he was Secretary of Defense

Elliot Richardson was a 1st Lt in WWII

While 29% of the other Defense secretaries never even served at all
