incorrect

We disagree. Different situations but gutless on both counts
I think where we disagree is between a reaction to the person being pardoned or the person doing the pardoning.

Trump pardoned people convicted of a crime or charged with a crime by the Federal Government (Jan. 6th guys)

You might think that was unjust....but it was very obviously within the power of the Executive Branch.

We have seen things like that in our history.

Biden pardoned people for unknown crimes or people not charged at all (Son, Gen. Milley, Liz Cheney)

And its been rumored he has engaged in "hidden pardons" of peoples and events unknown to the public and the other branches of government (Congress, SCOTUS)

That is a very different thing and much more troubling that Biden has done these things.

Nixon and a few others in History have preemptive pardons. Of course not to the scope of what Biden just did.

Good catch.

Had forgotten Ford did that.

Did not support it and he deserved to lose the next election.

Tough to look at 40 years later. Those of us old enough to remember Watergate wasnt the only issue of the time, it went from Bay of Pigs, JFK assassination, Viet Nam, RFK assassination, MLK assassination, Munich Olympics and then Watergate. After Johnson and Nixon, Ford was a decent hardworking man that put the Nation first to close the book. Carter never wins in a different era.

So, the Watergate pardon looked at in a solo, yeah bad move. Looked at in context to everything else the Nation had been through? Did we want a trial of the President too? That is what I remember, but I was younger the Kai. I was a kid, but it was definitely talked about at home and school.

Compare watergate to what was done to trump. Really quite unbelievable

Watergate was pretty bad. Nixon did it. It was the uncovering of a crime that was documented and believed to be unconnected.

Trump stuff is more political, policy and opinion-based it for that. , One side sees weaponizing of an agency, the other that Trump committed prosecutable crimes. Gonna be tough to prove a crime, more of a change policy. Just don't put the two in the same category. I know there are some that believe it is worse. I don't see anything they couldn't even impeach over, being in the class of Watergate.

I'm talking the spying on trump Obama did and the pee pee dossier. Watergate not even close

Geez, not one of these things has evidence or brought to trial. A lot of conspiracy theory, a lot of speculation. Since, 2016 not one of what you talk about has been tried. Even with 4 of those years under Trump. Keep in mind, Watergate occurred and played out under Nixon's watch. Watergate cost a sitting President the Presidency, to say any of this is in the same ball park is ridiculous.

Lol Seriously?

The pee pee dossier didn't exist? I'm amazed at you sometimes based on what you post and of course not knowing you at all. But I guess people do exist in reality in that mindset. I think sometimes you're just stirring it up though for funzies

I can't believe you put actual crimes that caused a President to step down and people to go to prison below hear-say that has not been proven or tried. Nothing you mention has resulted in any legal or political action. They couldn't even get an impeachment with a majority on all the Biden crime stuff. Hillary has not had any legal or political action against her for all the worse than Watergate acts.

So maybe all this horrid Dem actions happened as you said, but there has been nothing, no impact. Versus the worst political crisis in US history. Which is worse?

I can't believe you're serious. The Russia hoax (based on the Steele dossier) has been proven to be a fake narrative masterminded and created by the left and propagated by our own intelligence officers and a compliant media. The fact that we had 51 government officials later declare that Hunter's laptop was not authentic but a Russian psyop was also a clear fabrication, election interference, and an example of abject corruption.

The evidence is clear and irrefutable. No charges or consequences have happened yet because an equally corrupt Department of Justice under the control of the Biden administration refused to bring charges or hold anyone accountable in spite of the evidence which is not even disputable. You might want to sit back and grab some popcorn because people are beginning to be held to account. Those 51 individuals have already lost their security clearances, and you're not hearing much argument from the media. I don't think we've seen the end of it.

Any election interference caused by the Watergate break-in is simply irrelevant compared to the election interference and outright silent coup of the previous Trump administration waged by the left.

Nor impeached. If there are chargeable acts, bring them. This is Trump's second shot at the gold ring, there is no excuse to not prosecute and show that it WAS as bad as Watergate. So far, nothing. So I don't see how you can put these acts in the same category as Watergate, which brought down a sitting President.

I think you're confused. If you can't see the difference in what the democrats put USA through with fake russia pee pee and laptop and 50 lying military signing off on it, and I could go on, I can't help you. I guess if they can get enough ostensibly common senseicall folks like you to believe watergate was worse, we really are doomed. They impeached a president over a pee pee dossier. They tried to kill him multiple times. I mean, yeah. Watergate

The other posts covered it well. One could type at length. But some people just want to believe not in America I guess. What a way to live. Must be nice.

What the hell are you talking about????? "Not believe in America"???? On a bit of bender, huh? The US flag tie a bit tight?

What does any of that have to do with whether Watergate was worse for the Nation than stuff that was never prosecuted?

Because it was never prosecuted.
The fact that they were not prosecuted for their blatant crimes is just one more reason they were worse than watergate.
Our vibrations were getting nasty. But why? I was puzzled, frustrated... Had we deteriorated to the level of dumb beasts?

You have to remember who got us out of the Democrat's war in SE Asia, that would be Richard Nixon

And who ended the Democrat's military draft? Richard Nixon. Roosevelt created the first peacetime draft in 1940. Upheld in 1948 by Democrat Harry Truman

Nixon started the 'war on cancer' with a $100 million dollar grant

Nixon lowered the voting age from 21 to 18

Nixon authorized the joint work between the FBI and Special Task Forces to effectively eliminate organized crime, resulting in over 2500 convictions by 1973.

You could go on and on about the good things he did, but the MSM only lists Watergate.

Additional Nixon accomplishments:
1. Nixon helped Israel out in October 1973 when they were attacked again by their enemies. The military supplies he sent helped them win the Yom Kippur War.
2. He opened China to the world. This is more of a mixed bag because this eventually helped them become rich & far more powerful. They are currently our primary enemy. In addition, the US three Taiwan under the bus. They are somewhat of a pariah internationally and are no longer recognized by the UN.

This is not to say that Nixon was a great leader. He was a mixed bag. Watergate is only the best known part of his legacy. When more facts are known, it's quite possible that Clinton, Bush (43), Obama, & Biden will be deemed far more corrupt, especially Biden.

Acts vs consequences. We are talking about the acts. You are talking about the consequences.

So, when saying it was the worst acts in us history how do you quantify? None of it has been vetted. It is pieces of info in news stories (ironic discussing the mother of all news stories). How do you put any credence to those acts? Watergate happened, left or right the facts are the facts. There is no dispute.

Use your head. You think they did it out of the goodness of their heart??? No, they couldn't because they couldn't prove anything. Not saying it didn't happen, but when comparing to documentable stuff that DID happen, it comes up short. Get it?

Incorrect. Biden wasn't prosecuted because he was found too mentally incompetent to stand trial. Trump was impeached by partisan democrats for asking Ukraine to investigate the Biden crime family and for telling protestors to protest peacefully and patriotically. The problem is you seem to think Trump could just snap his fingers and make the swamp investigate itself. That's not how it works.
Our vibrations were getting nasty. But why? I was puzzled, frustrated... Had we deteriorated to the level of dumb beasts?

What Freedom is bringing up as worse is only agreed upon by one part of the population.
Your denial is based on a lack of prosecution and the denials of partisan hacks. That doesn't mean it didn't happen.
Ok, let's use common sense.

Trump was President for four years AFTER the dossier, the Hilary and Obama stuff. Nothing with either Session or Barr. Meanwhile Trump was impeached twice.

GOP had a majority in the House for Biden's last 2 years. They investigated the "Biden Crime Family" after the January 6th Commission and the Trump prosecutions. What did they find? No impeachment, nothing.

Trump just won, let's see how many go to trial.

Wouldn't you think IF they had ANYTHING prosecutable on either Hillary or Biden either Trump or the Congressional GOP led by the most Conservative Speaker in 30 years do something????

Use your head. You think they did it out of the goodness of their heart??? No, they couldn't because they couldn't prove anything. Not saying it didn't happen, but when comparing to documentable stuff that DID happen, it comes up short. Get it?
You are missing a big piece. They only had the information that everyone knew. Do you think for a second that the weaponized DOJ, FBI and CIA cooperated with them? Now there are all sorts of digital backups that they couldn't delete. Best to stand back, get some popcorn and watch the matinee....

And when it does, goes public and it causes the stoppage of American society like Watergate I will agree with you. But right now, you can't even get half of America to agree it happened

Don't lose focus on the debate, that this was worse than Watergate.
Of course it is worse. Watergate was nothing compared to the Biden admin/Biden Crime Family/J6 coverups and so on. This is a total boondoggle.

I guess we will see IF it becomes more than your guy's stories to tell around the campfire. Let's see if Trump or the Republican Congress actually prosecute somebody. Bondi is not going to bring suit without the evidence, so far we have a lot of rhetoric.

That's the partisan hack in you speaking. They did want to impeach, that's why they put a lot of time and effort into investigating Biden and family. If you can't get anywhere in 4 years, there is probably just not enough there.

It seems to me that Hunter probably sold his influence with his father, while his father was Vice President. Not proven. But probably. Is that against the law? No. Now, it may be an impeachable offense, but probably not when it is in the distant past, in a different role.

Hope the Supreme Court eventually rules in that direction.

Nixon and a few others in History have preemptive pardons. Of course not to the scope of what Biden just did.

Good catch.

Had forgotten Ford did that.

Did not support it and he deserved to lose the next election.

The J6 offenders actually broke laws though and knowingly tried to interfere with the peaceful transfer of power. Even if you think it was a joke, you can't expect your political opponents to not latch onto that. To compare how it was handled to Watergate just shows how partisan hack you are.

Not really. Most of them were peacefully protesting a stolen election. Federal agents were able to escalate it into something else & a Capitol police officer murdered one person in cold blood (& was pardoned by Joe Biden). Without FBI, CIA, & Capitol Police instigators there might not have been any violence at all. We will never know. We also may never know the full extant of the real crimes because the J6 committee spent most of their time covers it up, destroying evidence, & building a false narrative which the fascist press has been repeating ever since.

Congress was in session. Trespassing is the first crime they committed. Many were calling for death and vigilante justice, another crime. Congress was in session to peacefully transfer power from one elected official to the next, and they were wanting to stop it. Many said so out loud on recordings. Another crime.

These are criminals, not peaceful protesters. Congress is protested every day, and breaching the Capitol is never a part of it.

Yes

Grandmothers and grandfathers deserved 2-5 months of solitary confinement for trespassing .

Ask your parents to provide you a bloody clue.

Not to mention that it was entrapment. They could have had National Guard there to keep the peace, but they were wanting the crowd to get a little out of hand. It completely served the narrative they were trying to create that Trump supporters were reprobates. A few of the protesters were foolish enough to fall for it and got out of hand. Most simply walked through doors that had been opened for them. The crowd believed that being there might encourage Pence not to certify the electoral count… a remedy they believed was lawful. In no way was it an insurrection.

Dems have continued to play the insurrection card all the way up until election day and even now and are simply in disbelief that their gaslighting is not working.
