Count me in as a newly converted fan of Mr. Paul. Finally a Republican with the balls to stand up for what Republicans used to be and to stand up to the "Bully In Chief". Well done Mr. Paul. Stick to it.

This would support the thought someone shared earlier in this thread that a 3rd party would do more to split the Republican Party than the Dems

Low energy prices have been hiding a number of inflationary sins. If Israel acts and they shoot up, the tariff reckoning gets real.

My thought was that this was a short step to a hotline for harassing political opponents, but that Republicans would hotly deny any such possibility. You took less than 20 minutes to come out in favor of it.

I'm beginning to think no one is more authoritarian than Trump, except maybe most of his supporters.

You have no independent thought Sam. You've been brainwashed into thinking you're a conservative. However you've proven here that you are anything but. I'm very disappointed in you.

So, based on Trump's big spending Budget and the definitions used on this site, Trump is part of the Uniparty. No different than Biden, Bush, Obama. We know he and Hillary socialized. Spend, spend, spend Politicians. Bury the Epstein files to show he partied with that crowd.

Will MAGA get new hats? "Keep Raising the Deficit" hats? Hell, he gave millions to the Clinton Foundation.

There are differences between democrats, republicans and Trump.

Democrats tax and spend. Republicans cut taxes and spend. Trump cut taxes, spends, and ignores the budget and spends regardless of optics.

It is hard for me to trust that billionaire politicians of either political tribe have much interest in doing things that benefit average Americans.

Independent thought like labeling everything I disagree with a "Dem talking point?" Here are a few things that conservatives used to believe in:

-Respect for institutions and traditions
-Peaceful transfer of power
-State sovereignty, no unlawful intrusion by the feds
-Equal treatment under the law regardless of race, etc.

How many of these are you upholding lately?

- I have respect for the law. That includes the Police, FBI, CIA and ICE now that Trump is getting the fake officers/leaders out. Your view of them is that they go too far. My view is that they don't go far enough. You can see my view of winning the game now. There was almost nothing going on by sunset in LA last night due to Trump coming in a fixing Newsom and Bass's screwups. You don't place blame where it belongs.
- I have respect for the proper counting of votes. Not the 2020 fake mail-in ballot where 20 million "magical voters" appeared for that vote to defeat Trump, then disappeared at the next vote where Trump won. The Jan 6th protests were other common-sense folk who agreed with me. That was not an honest election, and the USA knows it, and we paid for it with the worst POTUS in our history (sorry Jimmy Carter...)
- When a state violates Federal law, it is up to the POTUS to fix that situation. What that state doesn't give a damn what is happening to public property and the local population, I have no issue with the POTUS stepping
- Equal treatment under the law never happened and never will. And it won't as long as it's human beings making and enforcing the law. We make human judgements, human corrections, and human feelings. That's another fake arguing point. You can see with liberal judges are letting domestic terrorists out on bail after they have destroyed Tesla cars and dealerships. That is not equal treatment under the law, regardless of race.
You have become a liberal if you admit it or not

Much bigger risk to America happening right now in California. The socialists/communists have made their move. This is turning into a revolution
Call out more National Guard, not the Marines. Active military is not trained for crowd control. Am not a fan of Active Military being used for this purpose. If we have to use Active Military, there are MP Brigades part of XVIII ABN Corps that know how to deploy and control urban areas. Why use a combat infantry unit?

Use the Marines to shut the Border, not crowd control.
think deeper.

Great symbolism with the announcement of their deployment.
Great visuals as they actually deploy.
It sends messages to rioters that they will not be facing donut dunking cops & weekend warriors. But battle hardened leathernecks. That WILL affect decisionmaking by riot leaders. It's a signal to leaders and funders that admin is not backing down, that FBI investigations are likely to follow.

suspect you will not see Marines out on the front-lines. They will be doing the support roles to free up the NG to do what it has the authority to do - quelling riots. Marines do, however, have a great intimidation value and of course can always defend their positions.

Red state governors have reacted strongly, proactively. So it's not going to escalate into other states. Suspect we've seen the worst of it now. Excellent response to a challenge by this admin. They did not overreact. They calibrated up slowly, in the face of great provocation, and made their opponents look like nutjobs along the way.

Not surprisingly, polling shows rising support for both Trump and mass deportations.
Leftist infrastructure has just done a "Tet".....revealing themselves & infrastructure, without making much of a dent in their target. As a result, they're gonna get rolled up a lot faster.

That's what happens when you stand up to the left. Poke them. Make them show who they really are. Then strike.

Maybe not liberal but for sure stage 4 Trump Derangement Syndrome....and it's getting worse.

Just like Sam accuses any Trump supporter of believing anything he says, he believes anything the anti-trump media produces, despite them consistently lying since 2016.

Los Angeles, CA June 11 2025
A recent review of the California Democratic Party's May 2025 expense report has uncovered a significant and controversial expenditure: the purchase of 200 pallets of construction-grade bricks. Notably, this acquisition lacks any associated construction plans or public documentation, raising questions about its intended use. The absence of a clear purpose for such a substantial purchase has prompted calls for transparency and accountability from both political opponents and watchdog organizations.

The timing of this purchase coincides with widespread protests in Los Angeles, which erupted in early June following aggressive immigration enforcement actions by the Trump administration. These demonstrations have been marked by clashes between protesters and law enforcement, with reports indicating that some individuals have thrown bricks during the unrest. While there is no direct evidence linking the pallets purchased by the Democratic Party to the incidents in Los Angeles, the proximity of these events has intensified public scrutiny.

In response to the controversy, the California Democratic Party has stated that the brick purchase was intended for future infrastructure projects. However, without detailed documentation or a clear plan, the justification for such a significant expenditure remains unconvincing to many. As investigations continue, the incident underscores the need for greater transparency in political party expenditures, especially when such purchases coincide with sensitive and volatile events.

Sounds like a pretty limited exception - working here 20-25 years.Would not affect all who came in under Biden, Trump 1, Obama, and W Bush second term.

I suspect there will be other stipulations like a US Citizen sponsor. That person can only sponsor X amounts of folks. That sponsor is responsible for that persons for an X amount of time, etc

Give them a card that is like a green card and lets folks know they are in the country legally for one year. This must be renewed each year with X deposit by the sponsor
