274 agents were sent to the Capitol after the riots began (and even FBI Director Kash Patel said so just a couple of weeks ago.

All those agents just happened to be in the area, undercover, and it's just coincidence we are only hearing about them now.

Weak sauce, there.

Talk to Kash, He said it

The question is not whether he said it. It's whether he sent them there.

Good question. I gave another: how many Hollywood millionaires practice what they preach and share their homes, food, clothing, and other riches with the poor in their neighborhoods? We already know the answer: none of only a tiny percentage.

Socialists are the greediest people!

Bernie Sanders is doing pretty well, as is AOC

Mamdani is living in a rent control apartment and paying rent far below market

The state ethics watchdog agency has received a complaint urging a probe into how Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani obtained his rent-stabilized apartment and whether he complied with gift rules for elected officials.
"Questions have been raised in public discussion about the timeline of his tenancy in relation to when New York State ethics rules apply to elected officials," Jason Sorens, an economist with the free-market American Institute for Economic Research, said in an August 12 letter to the state Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government.
Mamdani has said he was a tenant in his $2,300, one-bedroom pad in Astoria, Queens, before he was elected to the state Assembly in 2020, and didn't know it was rent-stabilized at the time.

Ballooning budget: The project's initial estimated cost of around $500 million has more than doubled, reaching $830 million by 2022 and approaching an estimated $1 billion in 2025. The foundation has not publicly released updated projected costs.
Construction delays: Construction was originally expected to start in 2018 but was delayed until 2021. The center's opening, first targeted for 2021, is now scheduled for the first half of 2026.

Doubtful it will open this decade. Too many folks coming to the realization what a bad POTUS Obama was and the left wing influence he still has as a Soros puppet

Sounds like Chicago construction to me

But, if we are being fair, materials skyrocketed during that time frame.

FDR, Truman, Eisenhower, Nixon, Carter, Reagan, Bush I and Bush II libraries are all architecturally attractive complexes that fit into their surroundings.

LBJ and Clinton (and to a lesser extent, JFK) are brutalist monstrosities. But this one is the worst of all.

Relax, all those women and children Hamas murdered were just common murders, hardly worth mentioning.

And don't forget how nice they were to those hostages! Some of them were only raped, staved and terrorized, they even got to get out alive after just a couple years of torture and endless fear.

He said the name is "Walter Matthau" and the number is 7. He said you'd know what that meant.

Somebody said something about a deficit?

But is this like the DOGE cuts that were announced as huge but so far seem to have not shown up in a budget or any sort of savings projections. And definitely not in checks to the people like Trump talked about.

This is a final announcement of monies actually returned to Treasury, but even if they use it to retire debt, it's still an expense (so it will reduce debt but not deficit). The problem with Doge cuts is that they simply didn't find as much as they'd hoped. Only about 20% of what they expected.

Here's what to watch for:

what if the true intent of Dems shutting down govt is to bait Trump into making massive unilateral cuts to federal programs and federal payrolls? Why would they do that? Well, their leadership certainly understands our fiscal situation is unsustainable. Cuts will have to be made. But nobody on either side of the aisle wants to vote to cut anything. Wouldn't it be nice if they could just hand the meat cleaver to someone who would be willing to do it unilaterally? They cuts WOULD be made. And the anger over them would be focused against the guy who made them rather than anyone in Congress. In fact, BOTH parties could squeal about them.....call the guy holding the meat cleaver a fascist threat to democracy or somesuch. That is a win/win if you are Jeffries or Schumer = budget situation improves, someone else bears the anger over it, and you now have a whole range of brand new issues to campaign on: "we will fight to restore (this program or that program, etc...) We told you the guy was a fascist! Now look at what he's done!! Help us restore our democracy!!!"

Not saying this will happen. Just looking at the chess board and seeing some obvious moves.

So what actions do we see? Trump did not move the moment he had the chance (perhaps an indication he will not, perhaps just a bit of tactical restraint so as not to appear too eager). But he has explicitly threatened to do exactly what I suggested.

What they found is that the numbers are so large they SOUND impressive but they are really what amounts to rounding errors.

26B is .3% of the FY budget, for example.

If you had $100,000 in your hand and I told you that I could save you $300 almost no one would care. They definitely wouldn't do a deep dive on their finances to find it.

Exactly: multi-millionaires by some accounts. Unfortunately, that describes many politicians too. It's not only the socialists but the socialists add hypocrisy to their crimes: they don't really care anything about the poor. They are only interested in stealing from people.

All kinds of bribes, payoffs, & kickbacks probably included in that price tag. I also suspect that a huge chunk of that went to BHO himself.
