I gotta give Trump credit where credit is due. This was a good pardon. Cuellar is what is referred to as a Blue Dog Democrat. He took a stand against illegal immigration and is also Pro-Life. For those reasons, the Democratic Party went after him and tried to destroy him. He deviated from the Democratic playbook and actually represented the wishes of his constituents.

I did come up with the answer. The data I linked showed it was not the numbers Trump claimed but it was a big increase still.

I'm beginning to think you just like to nitpick anything I say just to argue.

I was not backing up Trumps claim or setting out to prove him wrong. Just that a quick google search that took about the same amount of time as typing a response does, provided multiple sources of data.

Bottom line is Cuellar had not yet gone to trial. Last I checked, the Constitution says a man is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

My belief system tells me 99.4 percent of our elected politicians have either broken or flirted with breaking the law. The United States is by far the most corrupt country in the world. Not sure we will ever get it back.
