DHS is getting rid of 7 of the new 11 ICE detention facilities that were purchased.

Based on the statement I was provided with by DHS on July 1, 2026, it looks like they're ONLY picking up illegal aliens after a "heinous" crime is committed.

A DHS spokesperson tells me, "From day one, DHS has remained singularly focused on removing the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens from the United States and is always evaluating the best methods to do so. These heinous criminals, once arrested, should be removed at lightning speed, not housed on American soil at the taxpayer's expense. DHS is moving swiftly to utilize EXISTING detention space with our state and county partners."

Typical double standard of wealthy elites.

We need a law, or an amendment, barring anyone from holding public office who is not a citizen born in the US. Before that we need a law, or amendment, banning birthright citizenship. Thanks SCOTUS for screwing that one up!

The White House has 400 staff members, and the U.S. Presidential Cabinet consists of 16 major members....that does not even count all the other personnel. So many we could not even list them.

He can task some improvements and its not even something that requires him to spend more than 1hr a month on this topic......

He needs to set an example of cutting spending. All these projects that Trump keeps getting involved are not going to help balance the budget. A billion here, a billion there, pretty soon it adds up to some real money.

He could. He's not.

He seems more comfortable addressing "beautification" than he does addressing a farm bill or rising healthcare cost.

Legislation ain't his thang.

He could. He's not.

1. He does not command Congress

2. You don't know personally what he is going behind the scenes on the legislative front....publicly he has called for all kinds of legislation to be passed by Congress... including the SAVE act about election integrity

3. He is doing what he feels is in his power to change via Executive action....some beautification and construction around DC. And yet people are still freaking out about it.

You seem to forget that it takes two sides to do that. And the Democrats sat on thier hands, in lock step when a 12 year old cancer survivor appeared at last year's State of the Union. These are some really bad people (except for John Fetterman who has impressed me more than in Democrat in recent history)

I'm old enough to have seen this before. When Ford was President, he stood for nothing but getting along, and then we got Carter.

Trump was in some ways a necessary reflex against Obama and Biden, a political enema to get rid of the worst of their effects. What is needed, and possible, now is to find leadership post-Trump. 2027 will tell us a lot about whether we are going in circles another term, or we find a way forward.

That which does not kill me, will try again and get nastier
