This sure sounds like an insurrection. And a planned one. Not a spontaneous group of people deciding to go into the capitol and walk around. If it happens treat them the same as Jan 6 people and republicans can then use the date for the next 5 years against the Dems anytime they say anything…..

Trump is really bad at being a tyrant, depending on an honest court system when he apparently could just snatch his enemies off the street and off to a gulag.

And yet he doesn't even seem to do that well. Or perhaps I missed him directing an investigation into Hillary and charges filed against her????

The first step is to recognize that the Trump administration and MAGA aren't conservative. They are big government populists. The fact it aligns on some issues with conservatism is merely coincidental or opportunistic. This is why people like Massie, Paul as well as others are on an island.

I agree with some of this, but it's important to realize that team trump are sane, logical and conservative in comparison with the alternative. Also I don't think someone that is big government would start DOGE and look to do away with departments like the DOE.

The problem with Massie and Paul is that often they shouldn't count in the republican majority. I like that they seem to hold true to their principles but with a slim majority they put improvements that we could make in danger of not happening at all. The refuse to believe a small win is sometimes better than no win.

It is a combination of:
1. Changing requirements
2. Illegal immigration

Ronald Reagan was a leader. Trump is a narcissistic bully. They are not the same. Not even close.

And yet, for all of that, Trump is a better President than either Bush, not to mention the Democrats.

Agree with you on this.

so better than all but one president of your lifetime and all you can do is complain about him......

No, I praise him when he does well and criticize him when he is wrong. I just don't think he walks on water like a lot of folks here. Just calling balls and strikes.

lol...without having a very good appreciation for where the plate is, much less the strike zone.

Next month, The Supreme Court will solve Trump's tariff problem. They will affirm that only Congress can levy taxes. Trump will scream and kick like a toddler throwing a temper tantrum. He will spout off how we should do away with The Supreme Court due to their bias and "turning us into a third world country."

Then something amazing will happen. The world economy will take off, led by the U.S. economy. Then Trump will take a victory lap and take all the credit. He will claim it was his idea and plan all along to phase out the tariffs from Day 1. The Supreme Court will roll their eyes and laugh. Gonna be interesting for sure.

Done. As Arnold says, I'LL BE BAAAACK!!!"
Call it a tax, the people are outraged! Call it a tariff, the people get out their checkbooks and wave their American flags!!!

Shifting the size of government (reduce DOE increase ICE) and applying overreach to other areas is simply policy shift under the same political approach. Aside from the fact expenditures are up year over year, "big government" isn't only about budget size, but also how and how much its authority is used.

Lie. Federal workforce is 3m people, 300k of whom have been separated from service. That's 10% of the federal workforce. That's not a "shift." That's a cut.

Federal spending increased by $275 Billion in 2025 compared to 2024. That's a fact.

EDIT: Furthermore, a "shift" in where and how government authority is applied has little if anything to do with Federal workforce levels, so I don't know why you brought that up. Strokes of pens change the impact on millions of Americans without requiring one additional government employee all the time.
