So if the Supreme Court shoots down and unwinds the tariffs (which I believe they will) , will Americans have to return their $2,000 tariff dividend checks? That should be fun to watch.

This is just blatant pandering by Trump to attempt to appease the masses. This is very simply redistribution of wealth. I did not vote for this.
Call it a tax, the people are outraged! Call it a tariff, the people get out their checkbooks and wave their American flags!!!

Good to see a president who understands and respects the Constitution. It's just too bad it isn't the US president.

I never saw you saying that about drone strikes against terrorists under Obama…. I wonder why?????

Yes you did.

No I didn't.

Then you weren't reading.

Then prove it.

Well when dealing with Sam (or you) one must type at a second grade level for the two of you to understand. He cannot provide evidence of his stance. But evidence is not something the two of you like.

Enjoy this

Far-right influencers have been hinting in recent weeks that they have finally found a venue Miami and a federal prosecutor Jason A. Reding Quiñones to pursue long-promised charges of a "grand conspiracy" against President Trump's adversaries.

Their theory of the case, still unsupported by the evidence: A cabal of Democrats and "deep-state" operatives, possibly led by former President Barack Obama, has worked to destroy Mr. Trump in a yearslong plot spanning the inquiry into his 2016 campaign to the charges he faced after leaving office.

So as a lifelong bean counter, do you really think 50 year mortgages are a good idea? A simple YES or NO will suffice.

Lol. Well he may not of read this forum during much of the Obama years as most of us were still on Baylorfans at that time before the merger.

But yeah Sam was not upset at drone strikes then.

Senate reaches deal: The Senate is voting now on a bipartisan deal to fund the government through January 30 in a major sign the shutdown is poised to end, according to two people familiar with the discussions. A critical group of at least eight Senate Democratic centrists agreed to vote for the measure in exchange for a future vote on extending enhanced Affordable Care subsidies, according to two people familiar with the discussions even as the rest of their party has openly pilloried the deal.

I'd venture to say that said Democrat centrists are breathing a sigh of relief over Republicans having upped said centrists' chances of re-election.

I'd venture to say that said Democrat centrists are breathing a sigh of relief over Republicans having upped said centrists' chances of re-election.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said Sunday night that he and other House Democrats "will fight" the bipartisan deal to fund the government, just hours ahead of a Senate vote.

"We will not support spending legislation advanced by Senate Republicans that fails to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits," Jeffries said in a statement. "We will fight the GOP bill in the House of Representatives, where Mike Johnson will be compelled to end the seven week Republican taxpayer-funded vacation."

While the spending bill does not extend the ACA tax credits, CNN has previously reported that as part of the deal, Senate GOP leaders have promised a vote on a bill regarding expiring enhanced ACA subsidies.

Actually, the reverse is true, as Democrats have come to grips with their internal polling in states where they're most vulnerable to losing Senate seats. The Obamacare COVID subsidies haven't been extended, nor will they be, and rightfully so.
