Trump is really shooting himself in the foot left and right lately. We dont need or want H1b indians or other foreigners to replace our own people in the workforce.

The tech and corpo advisors will be the death of the MAGA movement

Someone online said that Charlie Kirk was the only guy who could walk into the White House and tell Trump what the base was really thinking on an issue. (Steven Miller has been good on mass migration)

His political assassination/murder leaves Trump mostly in the hands of the sycophants and big money donors around who pine for the days of Bush era (we conserve nothing) conservativism.

I believe it. This is similar to the first term where Trump had these awful advisors in his ear

I like to think the administration is somewhat aware of what's going on as it seems JD Vance is constantly on cleanup crew

My buddy works in corp dev at a major bank that requires him to work with some H1Bs from the IT side; he says a request that takes him 5 minutes to explain to an American takes 30 minutes to explain to these dudes, and they constantly f up their assignments

He made some comments in that interview that really don't sound good. I'm guessing those are gonna resurface in commercials at midterms.

That kind of sounds like what happened with the 50 year mortgage idea and letting Pulte get in his ear.

She probably is actually listening to the maga people in her district and can see which way the winds are blowing. 600k foreign Chinese students, 50 year mortgages, replacing American workers with endless h1b indians and endless billions to Israel is not what the voters want to hear.

Yep… It is starting to feel like Trump fell in the swamp rather than draining it.

It would be better to give everyone a $2000 credit on their taxes. For those not paying taxes, the credit can carry over to when they are paying taxes. Encourage people to work!

only to the degree his messaging isn't good enough to offset all the spin.

There are so many skills we've lost on the production side. Tim Cook said it....the reason Apple makes so much in China is that there is not the skill base in the USA to make them right now. (meaning, it will take time to train up the people needed to run the lines.). Trump has said the same thing, just less articulately.

(that is not to say the H1 visa isn't massively abused by corporations....)

I think we have the skill base here but companies like Apple are going to make stuff in China bc they can pay slave wages. As far as the H1b indian imports go, Americans are literally training their replacements so that they can we laid off in favor of a cheaper foreign worker.

This is a complete lie. Integrated fabrication plants that incorporate specialty robotics are built as a complete facility. In other words, the entire building is a production entity. Koreans weren't brought in to do framing and drywall you moron. They were blue printing a complex factory type Hyundai was using elsewhere but never in the U.S. so we could learn and maybe do it ourselves on the additional facility they were but now only "might" fulfill in 2027.

Someone smart has gotten to Trump because many investment projects from Asia (Korea and Japan specifically) have been paused or canceled for the time being.

I would also assume any attempt to bring back or expand high skilled manufacturing in the USA will be killed by DEI & affirmative action bloat….like with CHIP act
