Let's leave aside the arguments about "allies" in Afghanistan. Many signed up to fight with us because we paid them to do so or to settle old ethnic scores with the Taliban (a Pashtun dominated movement). Not because of any love for freedom or Western civilizational values

But for the sake of argument let's accept that we had some huge number of "allies" over there we needed to save from Taliban reprisals.

There are nearly 60 majority Muslim countries in the world. Including many who claim to be friends with the USA…like Morocco, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Kosovo, Bosnia, etc

Why could these Muslims (mostly Sunni) Afghans not be resettled in these Islamic counters who have values and religious beliefs that are similar? America could even pay them to take in their Muslim brothers and resettle them there.

Why are Muslim Afghans from a Bronze Age mindset society ravaged by decades of no-rules civil war being resettled in DFW and N. Virginia?
