Good grief. They need to quit talking about prices "coming down." While some have come down (gas and eggs), why aren't they celebrating the slowing of inflation - prices aren't going up nearly as fast. That makes a lot more sense. It is also the easy truth. Prices ain't coming down all over the place without a huge drop in demand - which would signal economic disaster.

This quote sums it up for many of us that voted for Trump (multiple times), but are watching this **** show and saying enough.

How you do things matters, as much as what it is. Trump has done great on border and immigrations. I even give him high marks on his eye to the future and innovation. But, the rest, some disruption is good. But, the cure can't be worse than the disease.

Especially since he was part of the disease, he raised our debt as much as that idiot Biden. Trump shut down the economy that set all this off in the first place. His ego, pettiness and lack of control allowed Biden to win in 2020.

This lady hits in on the nose. Enough is enough. Grow up and start acting like you are the President of the Nation, not that the Nation is your personal toy.

The Post Office too I would imagine. They can't not deliver mail for three days in a row, if I remember correctly

People remember though that Trump was basically elected because he did claim prices would come down. Cost of living is still going up, jobs market is getting worse than it ever was under Biden, student loan repayments are about to restart for 9 million Americans who haven't had to make a payment in years, Healthcare costs are through the roof...

The tax relief will really help some people out, but it is not the first year Trump said it would be. Go back and watch his victory speech. A lot of promises.

Not falling, but policy is not working out for everybody.

I am looking at how they are going to regulate or tax AI. There will be fewer and fewer jobs as companies use AI to make their existing workforce more efficient, or replace workers entirely. That needs to be taxed somehow, because more will claim unemployment.

The trick is reducing debt while taking care of your citizens. Reducing debt and leaving a large percentage of the citizenship without utilities, medical and opportunity is not going to work. We are going to get more of the same, 4 years of one party and four of another.

The key is reducing debt AND taking the citizens with you WHILE innovating for the future. It is going to be a tough balancing act. We are seeing some policies that will help, but at the expense of the others. Biden put the welfare of the citizens too far in front of economic realities.

So far, the Clinton/Gingrich team (whether they did it on purpose or like each other is irrelevant) is the last time we seemed to have a balance that did not break the bank.

What a Capitalist Nation has to worry about is the greed of profit. It did us in back in 2005ish and it is doing us in now. We need balance. I believe that is who will solve this, the Party that can balance.

Trump ain't it. Just like Biden wasn't it. Maybe we can get someone in 28.

Pretending 'Trump=Biden' only shows your inability to think beyond your arrogance.

The problem is both simple and complex. Simple, because it boils down to the never--ending greed of politicians using taxpayer money to get re-elected. There is all manner of unnecessary stuff bought by Congress, and at ridiculous cost, simply to sell the lie that the Rep in your district 'is working for you'. Never forget that our debt mess was not caused by just one Congress or under one POTUS - this crap has been going on since before we were born (and by the way, Clinton's "surplus" was basically nothing more than accounting tricks, no serious person should pretend it was the result of disciplined budgeting).

Complex, because the federal debt at any time is a mix of discretionary spending, non-discretionary spending, the Fed's tax rate, The Unemployment rate, Inflation, and other economic conditions. That's not to defend any one particular President, because they all, including Trump, have things they want to spend money on, and as a starting point those things should be considered to be additional costs since nothing has been cut yet.

The discussion/debate has gone on for a long time, and we are nowhere near a consensus on solving the mess.

No, I didn't put then in a comparison. Just said neither's approach is the answer. Why do you constantly do that? I don't care which is worse, only that neither is the answer.

Personally, I think the best combination is a mix of Parties. We do not have a good history of 1 party running everything. 1st you need a competent President, whether D or R. And an opposing Congress. But, both have to want to solve problems. This believe that either side has all the answers is killing us. Both sides have legitimate concerns and strategies. It is not all R or D.

Yes you did compare Trump to Biden.

Bottom line is that few Presidents have even tried to address the problem, and even fewer offered something that could address the root problem.

Smaller odds in '28 than now that we'll see someone with a good idea and the guts to try, much less the political capital to make it work.

I hoped that Trump would find a way to start the process, but he's got the attention span of a gnat and the ego of a Kardashian.

God help us.

Biden and Trump are extremes on the spectrum. Neither of their styles work. If it makes you feel better, Trump is better than Biden by a long shot. I only agree with one or two of Biden's positions. I agree a on pretty much all of Trump's, just how he goes about his business is not sustainable or positive for the US. My view.

I agree with you on the rest. And you make an excellent point on the political capital.

One of the benefits of Trump, he has Congress finally acting like Congress. We are seeing some bi-partisan movements. That is a positive.

So let me get this straight. Israel annihilates Gaza so the U.S. is going to be the one who pays to rebuild it? Doesn't sound like America First to me. It appears to be more like Trump family business interests first.

It's funny. People on here say I am a liberal. My point has been there is no Liberal or Conservative. It is a marketing tool.

Liberal, Democrat, MAGA, Conservative, NeoCon, Social Democrat IT DOESN'T MATTER. They are all the same.

Biden was for Ukraine. Trump is for Gaza. Biden's brother made a fortune. Jared Kushner is over there negotiating Gaza re-development. NeoCons wanted NATO and South Korea. MAGA want Israel, attacking Venezuela and Greenland. They are all the same. Trumps, Bidem Trump, Obama, Bush, Clinton they all grifted. It is a game.

Once I realized that, I would rather spend American money on Americans. Remember that? We should spent on helping Americans, except when it actually comes to getting them health coverage... IT IS ALL BS.

Kushner and Eric Trump are going to make a fortune in Gaza. Just like they are in Crypto, which Donald is pushing.

IT IS ALL BS.
