With 25% of IRS agents being laid off last year I guess their odds of sneaking through are 25% better

It takes about .5 seconds to run an algorithm for people who paid taxes any time the last 5 years but didn't file this year. Thats an awfully easy starting point.

I'll rat your (you or anyone else that decides they don't need to pay their taxes) ass out in an instant if that's what you're asking.

We pay our personal taxes, business income taxes, state taxes, local taxes, sales taxes…

I paid them when Biden was President all the same though I disagreed wholeheartedly with virtually all of his policies. I don't pay my taxes so the government can operate or because I agree with what it does with the money. I pay them because it's part of the social construct I agreed to.

NATO should have been disbanded 30 years ago.
US troops should have been removed from South Korea 20 years ago.

US strategic interests should be focused on central and South America.

Can a president pull us out of NATO? Does it require Congress too?

If congress formally approved a treaty to join NATO …..I would suspect congressional approval would be required to terminate the treaty.

I agree, but I think we pulled out of an arms control treaty before, on presidential action alone, but I'm not sure

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection claim Trump collected a little more than $200 billion in tariffs in 2025.

Our last annual United States budget was $6.8 trillion. We are just not very intelligent as an electorate. We have quickly become a country of village idiots. In instances like this, it is kind of embarrassing.

We should have kept Bagram Air Base, only 500 miles from China's western border, instead of abandoning it and handing it over to the Taliban.

Of course that little stroke of genius was all on brain-dead Biden.

It was a good location next to China but after pulling out of the rest of the country it would have been impossible to hold on to. Long supply lines and would have been under constant attack.

I think it only requires senate approval just like treaties only require senate approval once a president signs them.

It's amazing how autocracy always follows populism.

it's amazing how much money the Fed can waste on vanity projects and play the victim when called out on it.

We'll spend more changing stationary, documentation, and building signage to the Department of War, speaking of pet projects.

But hey, let's ignore abuse of power and executive overreach and feign spending concerns.

The problem is people here seem not to realize that they are cool with it when Trump does it but they are gonna REALLLLLLLLLLY hate it when the next democrat does it and you better believe they will only more and better because they won't be outdone.

I hope after Trump we are done with Boomer Presidents.

We need 35 year old President.

Someone who will have to spend a lifetime living with the decisions they made.

God, please no Millennial POTUS! Are you nutz? That would be the death of the USA!

Lol. It will happen soon. We need younger presidents. Like a late Gen X or early millennial.

Really I think the 1980s babies don't fit into either of the above generations. They grew up with the old tech but also learned the new tech while also learning the lessons of the older generations like hard work, morals, etc.

It is the later millennials that are/were the problems for the most part. And every generation born in the 2000s that aren't old enough to be president.

I don't have X so can't read the comments but I bet over half the people in the comments don't pay extra in taxes, just what is automatically taken out of their checks so they can't really refuse to pay taxes anyways.

Or maybe some of that swamp draining he promised 10 years ago

Nope, best he can do is to subpoena a quasi-government agency which is self-funded

Ultimately somebody has to be the guy who shows up on that family farm with a gun ready to kill an American bcs he didn't pay taxes to a government that not only doesn't represent him but is also putting his family in imminent danger.

Are you that guy?

that DOD stuff is what, maybe 1% of the cost overruns at the Fed?

Isn't it funny how every time we try to hold someone accountable for (fraud, waste, neglect, abuse) there's always a faction who squeals about rising fascism?
