Agreed. I know plenty of people, especially recent college grads through people in their 30s that can't afford a house for various reasons and it isn't always just a lack of hard work.

Medical issues, starting with nothing, divorces, failed businesses, etc.

Lots of reasons.

Yeah because that will accomplish a lot…. Oh wait no it won't.

They will go to sleep. The government will go to sleep and no one will do anything to help the people of Iran.

Just curious, are you trying to criticize the action, or the outcome? Like, is this a bad idea to you, to peacefully protest against a government keeping power through mass murder? Or do you think it's bad because you are certain that raising awareness never helped anything?

I never said it was bad.

A waste of time. Yes. Just like when people tweet "bring our girls home" and yet over a decade later does anyone even remember the incident I'm referring to?

Or changing a profile pic to a flag of a country.

A country like Iran doesn't care about protests happening in any country not named Iran.

Raising awareness is good. Especially when it is issues that need awareness raised. This is not an issue that needs awareness raised. Most people know the regime is bad, that the protests there were going on and were put down in violent fashion.

A march in the streets is the same to you as changing your profile pic on facebook? Both do nothing?

You make a lot of incorrect assumptions, the first is that these marches only raise awareness, the second that everyone is already aware of the Iranian government's many sins. I think you would be shocked by the general ignorance of many when it comes to international matters.

Lol. Ok.

Wake me up when changing a profile pic or a match in the streets changes anything.

I notice you didn't even touch on the topics I mentioned.

The ice bucket challenge at least raised some money. Even if it didn't help find a cure.

Adding hashtags for all the various "causes" hasn't solved any of them, brought a temporary rise in level of awareness to that cause and the same can be said for the marches and protests. They increase awareness for a brief time but no true movement starts and nothing changes.

March in the streets equating to a tweet with a hashtag. Ok. What are youf thoughts on history? Like, have you ever read about historical protests? I'm curious how deep the ignorance runs.

Medical issues and / or a divorce can destroy anyone's finances .

But neither is the responsibility of government policies.

Lol. You can't stay on topic.

You clearly are not reading my posts to understand what I am saying.

I have not said marches never work. But today they do not.

I have pointed out that marches in combination with a movement rising out of it, like the whole civil rights era where it wasn't just a march and then everyone going home to do nothing.

But in modern times that is all it is. A handful of people at that march went home and tried to think of ways to continue the movement. 90% plus went home, felt good about the march, posted a picture of themselves at the march, and then moved on to the next "issue" they can post about.

My first post explained it well.

The protesters will go to sleep. They will move on.

If you can't understand that to mean the people from this march and not every march that has ever happened in history then you are just stupid or trolling.

You took a simple post about that march and applied to every March in history.

I was just trying to figure out your angle. Like why criticize people protesting mass murder? I've never seen that.

Now I know, you have no ammo behind it, you have no good reason, you are probably still at Baylor and tossing weightless opinions around to see what popcorn might be made out of them. We all did it. Young people like to pretend they know everything, and have a strong opinion all the time on every matter, even knowing the eventual results of a protest in another country about a 3rd country. Carry on! Mind the gap!

Is there enough room for 100,000 people in front of the White House? That's like the seating capacity of the Cowboys AT&T Stadium.
