We could really use a ln Eisenhower right now, someone calm and understands how to calm things back down. We can use a "Hidden Hand" approach again...

Enough disruption and chaos.

We've had a long line of nice guys, spoke softly and wore the suit well. Are people happy now? And how much is the federal deficit? The guys with "presidential timber" let NoKo have nukes, and nearly let Iran have them, while spending trillions on irrational nation-building exercises. Working class wages stagnated over the last 20 years as we outsourced jobs abroad. We let China into the WTO and gave them MFN status, and they now have 12x the steep production capacity we do. We let TENS OF MILLIONS of illegal aliens cross our borders and called anyone who complained about it a racist. How many more examples of pathology do I need to provide?

Every remodeling job starts with demolition.
Change requires disruption.
Chaos is a ladder.
Trump is definitely not a leader for all times.
But he is exactly the leader we need at this juncture in time.
He has the right plan.
He is relentless in executing it.
Most voters are going to hate every moment of his term.
But we will be better off for it.

BS, Eisenhower wasn't a nice guy. He was a calm and professional. He sent the 101st in Arkansas. He ended the Korean War with an armistice by bringing Nukes into the equation. He had the balls to say no to Suez. So, don't give us the nice guy ****, how about a professional? I said we need a "Hidden Hand" approach, not a nice guy. You love twisting to fit your narrative.

By the way, how many of those items has Trump played a role in? The NoKo Nukes, Deficit, wages, actually your whole list Trump was part of creating either in his first term or now. And he is definitely not a "leader", I use that loosely. We do need a real leader BADLY. Trump is a trainwreck.

LOL I wasn't referring to Ike. Was referring to the last several uniparty Presidents. But now that you've mentioned it please explain how the 101st was a "hidden hand."

Geez, it isn't and wasn't meant to. I was referring to that situation to show he could be tough, when he needed to be and still be civil. But you knew that.

Ike knew that being an ******* was counterproductive. A lesson Donald never learned.

There is a time and a place for it. Now is that kind of time. Voters are cranky. They elected Obama hoping for change. They elected Biden as a reaction against Trump. Then elected Trump as a reaction to BIden. And they're going to keep doing that until their grievances are redressed.

I've said it many, many times. There is basically no middle ground anymore. The two sides don't agree on anything, not even the definition of what is a boy and what is a girl. One side is going to have to win and the other is going to have to lose. That's not a next-election thing, but rather a trend over time. And the trends are moving toward the GOP. Republicans are winning the culture. Winning the registration battles. Ahead in party identification. Have the best position the media in my lifetime. Yes, there will be what Rayburn called "beefsteak elections".....blips in trendlines. We may be headed that way in 2026. But the long-term trends are very, very favorable for Republicans.

But all the usable space is in the middle, the far sides are just gutters.
The middle has no moral high ground over the "gutters." The principle is actually on the far sides....idealists. The pragmatism is in the middle....making compromises. From there, the moderates tend to do as you have here - leaping to arrogance that the compromise is more moral than the principle, ergo the moderate is a superior being. Reality is, the middle is not a static place. It is literally defined by the two poles on issue after issue, and it moves around all the time. Not a very good place to build a political base. Impossible. The base must be on the pole and build toward the middle. Moderates who adopt the static center view point are ironically just as idealistic and intolerant as either pole.

An Administration can be tough without extortion, insults and brutish behavior. Take the comments today, I want Greenland, they said No, so bye-bye. That is extortion. We will stay part of NATO if you give me what i want. Come on? The whole way they operate is not right.
LOL he's just saying the quiet part out loud. We've threatened people bluntly many, many times before. I've held the demarche texts in my hands.....instructing our Ambassador to use the words "....we will destroy your country...."

Trump-speak is different. Particularly jarring to moderate ears. But it is highly effective. If excites his base. And it terrifies his opponents. Both of those things are good.

Nothing new about what we are seeing in US-Nato tensions. It's like we're living the Reagan Era all over again. in the first Trump term, my daughter was sent on a support team to a G-20 meeting in Biarritz. She called us from a streetside cafe where she had sat down for lunch. She had to jump off the call - protesters were coming down the streets, so the owner of the cafe was pulling in all the tables & chairs, rolling up the canopy to cover the windows. I told her "ahhh....it's just like Reagan days, non-stop protests over whatever American wants to do, mobs of fellow travelers carrying around effigies of US officials." Reality is, the Trump-Greenland spat was child's play compared to the deployment of Pershing II missiles in Europe. Yes, Trump is more brusque. But that's why he has gotten concessions out of Nato that Truman and Eisenhower and Kennedy and Johnson and Nixon and Ford and Carter and Reagan and Bush and Clinton and Bush and Obama were never able to get. Not "concessions" in the classical sense of the word, mind out. Just "concessions" that they will actually do what they promised to do 80 years ago = meet spending targets that as a percentage of GDP were half of what America was spending on defense.

Trump wants to do what he promised the voters he'd do.
He doesn't give a damn what you think about his methods..
That's why he's effective.
Sure, I'd rather he act more like Reagan.
But then, he's gotten stuff done Reagan didn't get done, so.......

If we're in an alliance with Europe, Europe needs to match us dollar for dollar. Otherwise, Nato isn't Nato. It's just America doing all the work, taking all the heat, letting Europe have a free ride. (i.e. what's been happening the last 80 years). Trump is not going to allow that to continue as the natural order of things. If we're going to 100% defend Greenland, then we need more equity in the Danish vanity project known as Greenland. Fair ask. We can quibble about how he did it, but plain fact is, he did what was necessary to increase our equity in it.

Please tell me what this clown has been effective at. I can't find much, particularly what he ran on and your Maga ilk bought:
1)Immigration- stopped the flow. Ice killed people , disaster.
Zero flow is what we voted for. Ice officers defended themselves from attack.
2)Inflation/costs- both are way up and people are pissed
No, inflation is down year over year.
3)lower gasoline prices...you filled up lately
They were significantly down until the war, and will be again in a few months.
4)No more wars- yeah right
No more forever wars. This one will be over very soon.
5)Deficit
Reduced without recession. Huge success
6)Made a mockery our our system
No, Democrats made the mockery with all kinds of nonsense: derelict POTUS, pushing climate and trans extremism, open borders, etc....
7)Disgraced th US on the worlds stage. We are an embarrassment
We are winning.
7) He is effing crazy
Look in the mirror.
8) Grifted $6B for the Trump Crime Family
His kids have the same right to earn wealth you do.
9) Epstein - He is covering up that he is a Perv Pedo
Available evidence exonerates him.
10) Russia- He is an agent of Russia or he would have put this to bed
Then why is he doing so much harm to Russia?
What did I miss he did well?
Everything.

Please come back when you sober up.

Massie sounds really good on fiscal issues if he could just be able to accept incremental wins like the democrats and uniparty have messed things up over the last few decades.

The timing does seem odd to me. I'm not a conspiracy guy but this seems plausible. They didn't come out during the me too movement. Didn't come forward during the Supreme Court nominee hearings when he called for all victims to be heard and believed, even when they couldn't remember basic details (sort of like his accusers) and they only come forward (all at once) when he is in a tough race.

BigDataPoll is a red polling firm and a good one but very much ideologically in the Massie realm of the GOP. So to the extent they are off, the error is likely to be in Massie's favor.

Will the under 30 demo turn out? History says that's hard to do without Trump actually on the ticket, but for other reasons Trump is going to be out furiously campaigning this cycle. Who knows. Looks like the GOP red base (over 65) is behind Gallrein and they ALWAYS turn out.

Could be a nail-biter race. Edge usually goes to the incumbent.

I don't drink. Facts are your friend. Fox News doesn't count. 1) meh 2) check the inflation numbers Friday t5)here Chief 3) Are gasoline prices doubled. Strike. It's his war, hence oil 4) Check deficit. It is exploding pal5 ) 5) Focus son. This is about Piggy 100%. Dems had nothing to do with any of this. If you want to play that game. Deficit and Inflation both more than anytime during Biden. 6) I'm confused. what are we winning at? 7) No they do not. It is called a conflict of interest ...ie grift. BS on that, fool. you good with Trump grifting us taxpayers to the tune of $6B. Jared is not his son, either and has no business raising $5B while negotiating a peace deal. That just may be a conflict of interest, but I'm sure you are ok with it. 9) Available is the key work . how bout Melania holding a presser yesterday without piggy knowledge. She is cutting and running and yes he is guilty of something extremely bad.8) Dude really. He is in Putins back pocket and hasn't done chit about Russia ...to the contrary. Yes. you were 0fer. He is a little advice. Facts are your friend and maybe get out of your county or Texas. You could really benefit from some. perspective. Viva la Donnie!

Congratulations you rube. You did it. You have passed old 83 and Little Johnny and are about to lap them. you funny little fella.

Fact: 2026 federal deficit cam in under budget.
Fact: National average gas prices have not doubled. $2.81 on 01/01/26 versus $4.01 today.
and on and on....

Come back when you can tell what is truth and what is not.

clown. I'm in the hydrocarbon business. I think I have a handle on gasoline prices. Do you hear your simpleton, brain washed Magaturd. You are arguing that gasoline ain't quite doubled. is that a good thing? lol I would encourage you to brush up on your P&L skills. The deficit is exploding, pal. that ok? damn you are dumb.

I've been saying this forever. And singling out billionaires isn't even the more important part. It's the MASSIVE amount of money that pours in from special interest groups.

There's a desperate need to get money out of politics. I've suggested a pool of money, evenly distributed with a cap, that's it. There's no more money.

I also think that if you post a single "attack" ad you should lose access to that money. Don't tell me why I shouldn't vote for the other guy. Tell me why I should vote for you.

People are overwhelmingly morons and there's no doubt that candidates buy elections.

This is a problem. While we're bombing Iran, they are torpedoing the dollar. If they are successful at getting countries to buy oil with euros and yuan, it will be devastating for us.
