Can't prove a negative, BUDOS, don't recall conservatives trying to murder elected officials, or any conservative 'manifesto' saying kill Obama, Clinton, etc.

You can prove the statement wrong if you can show where that happened, but in my lifetime at least the desire to murder seems very much to be by the Radical Left or the Mad, never the Conservatives.

Not to be that guy BUT Vance Boelter (Republican) murdered a Minnesota democratic politician and her husband last summer

Though, I am of the opinion that more leftists support political violence against their foes than their counterparts on the right. Their reaction to Charlie Kirk was horrific. I feel conservatives tend to have better morals, most likely because more of us have religion

Thanks BigGame. Horrible as any such murder would be, it does make the point that you have almost no such murders by the Right, while it's sadly common to see assassination justified by the Left.

Probably because the killings committed by Boelter don't have a specific political intent (at least none that any regular people can figure out)

He seems to have been just going crazy and losing touch with reality.

He was also appointed to boards by Democratic governors so had support across the spectrum there….at least while he was sane

"… Boelter was appointed during both the Mark Dayton administration in 2016 and reappointed during the Tim Walz administration in 2019 both DFL governors the board is nonpartisan."

He also accused the governor who appointed him to the board of trying to get him to assassinate Senator Amy Klobucher

[In a series of cryptic notes to the New York Times through his jail's electronic messaging service, Boelter suggested his actions were partly rooted in the Christian commandment to love one's neighbor. "Because I love my neighbors prior to June 14th I conducted a 2 year long undercover investigation," he wrote.

In messages published earlier by the New York Post, Boelter insisted the shootings had nothing to do with his opposition to abortion or support for Donald Trump, but he declined to elaborate.

"There is little evidence showing why he turned to political violence and extremism," the acting US attorney for Minnesota, Joe Thompson, told reporters last month... ]

I'm sick of the middle-ground fallacy. The political violence is not a two-way street at this time.

The Democrats routinely use very hateful rhetoric about Trump and everyone in his administration often with very violent overtones. They celebrate assassination, make heroes of murderers, and call for violent acts against people who think differently than they do.

These people are sick monsters. They are evil and do not belong in any position of power or influence. They are the biggest threat to the country.

Pot meet Kettle...

Both sides need to stop.

What violence or violent rhetoric has anyone in the right said or done in the past 10 years?????

Every assassination or example of extreme rhetoric comes from loonies on the Left. I cannot think of a single example of anyone on the right doing or saying anything remotely similar. No GOP political figure, journalist, or celebrity calls for the murder of anyone on the Left the war the Left rails against Trump, etc every day. Caroline Leavitt was accurate in the press conference Saturday night: the vileness of the assassin's "manifesto" is indistinguishable from the filth the Left spews out 24-7.

And don't talk about Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, etc. Their rhetoric is more like that of the Left than anyone genuinely on the Right.

Then give one example of him using the same violent wording as the left.

Give one example of him calling someone a future widow.

One example of him calling it a war against the Dems.

Just one.

One of the legal rights we have is the one that allows one to have their own opinion, whether it's right, wrong, or even partially right or wrong. What can be interesting is if it's possible to change one's opinion, and, if so, how that process might work. Do you think that happens to you or any of us on this forum?

The point is, we should be able to expect people to be responsible for the consequences of their speech. The old 'yelling fire in a movie theater' scenario.

There is no question actual violence is happening in response to incendiary speech.

The people claiming this is only a free speech issue are not being honest.

FLBear posts links to a collection of leftist and left-tilting sites which hate Trump, as some kind of evidence that Trump is as bad as the people actually driving violence.

But he insists he's not a leftist himself.

"Hate speech" and "hate crime" should never have made it into the legal lexicon. It is way too subjective and always will be. Target the crime. Murder is murder. Why makes little difference to the victim.
Adding "hate crime" to the mix is very Soviet.

It doesnt matter, i can dhow you FBI data showing hate crimes up under Trump. Or articles documenting his quotes, or even him talking about grabbing them by the *****. You and your buddies will just say they are not true.
To say Trump is not hateful in his speech is laughable. But, it will always be someone elses fault.

Everyone paying attention knows that "hate crimes are up under Trump" not because Trump is causing them, but because people who hate Trump are committing them.

You are so obsessed with blaming Trump for everything, you are willing to ignore everything that screams where to look for the problem.

I genuinely feel sorry for you, if you even now have not figured this out.

Lol. So to "prove" your point you use leftist media that cherry picks words to call them violent speech?

Most of them are flat out lies, twisting of what was actually said or stretching to call it violence.

For example calling Hillary a "nasty woman" is not violent.

One of the links claims he said Liz Cheney should "face a rifle with nine barrels pointed at her face." Which is not what he said. He said she should grab a rifle and have nine shooting back at her and see how she feels about wars.

So you spent a lot of time looking up "violence" being spoken by him and found zero evidence.

I will repeat my previous question: find one of him calling a woman a future widow. Calling for someone to be assassinated, shot, etc.

Or anyone else prominent on the right saying these things. One late night host. One member of Congress. One celebrity.

Sorry that is not hateful rhetoric.

There is a huge difference between calling someone a future widow, calling for actual violence, Trump supporters to be shot, beat up, put in camps and saying things that are just wrong like when he calls a reporter a name, says grab her by the ***** and other bad things he says that are not "hateful" or violent.

You cannot make a point about Trump's hate speech when all your sources are fascist propaganda. They define "hate speech" as anything they disagree with. For example, being honest when defining "man" and "woman" is routinely labeled hate speech. It's just an excuse for censorship by narrow minded bigots. It's curious that hate speech laws are primarily in blue states and cities. I don't know if any red states that gave them. Conservatives tend to believe in genuine free speech.

Trump does sometimes say hateful things, his "mean tweets", which get the snowflakes really worked up and maybe inspired them to act violently. Charlie Kirk was murdered for reasons like that.
