True but there is a long tradition of companies named for their founders: Singer Sewing Machines, Ford Motor Co, Hershey's Chocolates, Dell Computers, and many others. The U.S. also has a long history of legislation names for the politicians sponsoring them. There are bigger issues with this than the name.

Fact remains, the only thing unusual about that statement is that it was shared publicly. Nothing remarkable about it at all as far as direct communication goes. Nuance is the language of diplomacy. Once you've decided you're willing to go to war over something, you owe it everyone, friend and foe alike, to be absolutely clear about your demands. An inscrutable ultimatum is worse than none at all. Do not leave a scintilla of a thread for them to cling onto. If you are prepared to destroy them to get what you want, you must make that crystal clear. After all, the purpose of the ultimatum is to motivate your opponent to submit without a fight.

Each individual must decide for himself whether or not that disqualifies. Personally, I would be hesitant because Vivek is a pagan who does not understand Christ or Christianity. By the same token, I like Kash Patel & think he's doing a great job at FBI and I voted for Mitt Romney, a cultist. I held my nose because he's a RINO who flip flopped like a fish out of water. But he was still superior to the fascist alternative. As for Vivek, he's not on any ballot here in Texas so he is not an option.

I refuse to vote for someone who supports the mass murder of babies in the womb and the mutilation of children. Their entire agenda is evils but those two are disqualifying. This rules out every member of the fascist party (they disingenuously call themselves "democrats").

It's a less serious diplomatic gesture than withdrawing an ambassador or reducing staff at an embassy. It has the further advantages of saving us a LOT more money, while costing the Germans some of their GDP growth.

We've been flirting with moving much/all of our Germany program into Poland. Tactical reasons argue for that. Geopolitical reasons argue for that. We've not done it just to avoid the disruption to the German economy. But now that it's likely to get started in earnest, it will have one other highly beneficial outcome = it will force Germany to finally rearm. They're the poster child for failing to met Nato financial obligations. Remove our troops, and they finally will have to develop a functional army/air-force/navy of their own.
