No, they are wrong. Tariffs are good, trade balance... we were two weeks from paying off the debt!!! Israel told us so!

They are neocon power grab junkies. On a bit of a downer right now, but wait till we strike a peace deal with Iran that lets them keep their nuclear material. It will be one of the greatest victories ever, the first war the Space Force took part in, and the second third beginning of the Golden Age of America.

The problem is the Trump admin has embraced crony capitalism, which is socialism for rich and connected people... Kushner is making billions at the expense of middle class Americans who are seeing their net worth turn into a useless pile of monopoly money because of out-of-control government spending!

Does anyone here support $1.5 TRILLION in defense spending for 2027 alone???

Out of control govt spending is a real problem and has been for several decades. It's also bipartisan. Both parties ard to blame and neither party is willing to talk about it much less do something. They are mostly spineless cowards.

Congress provides us daily reminders of the need for term limits.

You're absolutely right, Historian. The communists are overtaking the democrat party, and many traditional democrats are panicking, according to WSJ

Folks like Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi allowed the far left to infiltrate their party and now it's coming back to bite them in the ass.

Conversely, we have a spineless Republican Party who isn't doing anything to stop them. Truly, the only thing Republicans have going for them is that they are not the left, other than that they have little to no victories.

The affordability crisis is getting out of hand, to make matters worse we have a K-shaped economy. Low income households are running out of options so they're beginning to entertain socialist policy

As Tony Kinnett with the Daily Signal has pointed out repeatedly, the GOP strategy is the best one they could use this year: shut up and let the fascists hang themselves.

It would be nice if our leaders actually did some leading on occasion, but as campaign strategy it's brilliant.

The left will slowly trot out leftists who lived under communist/socialist regimes, in an attempt to slow the momentum of this big socialism push, but they need these types in their tent. You know they hate it, because it will be off putting to independents, who utterly rejected the DNC 2 years ago. The DNC was very forthright about trying to put aside fringe causes and appeal to the working class again.

But if they are able to paint tariffs and the Iran war as a big enough disaster, they might be able to tolerate any number of fringe causes. One thing that killed Ksmela, and Clinton for that matter, was the idea that each might get us into a war with Iran. Trump was seen as the only nonestablishment candidate who could avoid it. All the DNC has to do, to destroy the midterms, is stick to the right messaging. Deflect on the DSA and commies, go hard on Iran war, tariffs, price of food and energy.

Republicans not only failed to prevent this, they seemingly did everything they could to encourage the rise of socialism in America.

Speaking for myself I have spent my life defending Republicans, Trump, etc to all my millennial peers and with this pointless, inane, profligate Iran war I have finally reached my breaking point... I wont run around begging all my family, friends, and neighbors to vote Republican this November for the first time in ages. Hell even I am going to be selectively voting Republican in November... i'll vote Republican for my local county elections, I'll give Paxton a chance, I'm actually strongly considering voting Democrat for Gov just bcs I LOATHE Greg Abbott that much... the guy is a WEF globalist and has been selling out Texans his entire time as Governor and is a primary reason why Texas feels like we were colonized by India in 2026!

A Honduran man previously convicted of kidnapping, illegal re-entry into the United States and sexual assault has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison after attempting to illegally re-enter the United States.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Texas, Noel Jose Funez-Antunez, 41, was sentenced in federal court in Del Rio after pleading guilty to illegal re-entry.

Court documents state that on Nov. 17, 2025, U.S. Border Patrol agents encountered Funez-Antunez near Eagle Pass. During questioning, he admitted he was a citizen of Honduras and did not have legal permission to be in the United States. Agents took him into custody without incident and transported him to the Eagle Pass South Border Patrol Station for processing.

Authorities said a review of his criminal history showed prior convictions for kidnapping, illegal re-entry into the United States and sexual assault.

"This is the message that we need to send to anyone who is thinking of coming into the United States illegally," U.S. Attorney Justin R. Simmons said in a statement. "Here we have an illegal alien who has already been convicted multiple times in our country, who thought he would be able to sneak in and live a life of freedom. He instead was met by federal agents and Lady Justice, and will spend the next two decades in federal prison before he's deported yet again."

Assistant U.S. Attorney Nallely Duarte prosecuted the case. Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven Shilling handled the sentencing.
