If you were talking about Western Europe, I would agree with you. But, we are talking about two Authoritarian Communist countries.
Russia Problems? Putin is in the position he wants. They are not ending the Ukrainian War. It is an Oligarch cash cow and a political bunker providing cover.
- First, ending the war brings on accountability. Putin prefers the war setting and no accountability.
- Second, the Oligarchs are making a fortune. The number of Russian billionaires has risen during the war. They want to keep the party going.
- Third, the areas they annexed can't pay for themselves. Once the war stops Russia has to pay to get them operational. They don't want to do that.
- Finally, there is more of a chance for another war, not peace. There is no plan for another system and the decision makers are making too much money. We didn't enforce the first sanctions and Trump is not attacking his buddy. I would say the Baltic's will be the next Russian move.
