Executives from the companies (Softbank, OpenAI and Oracle) are expected to say they plan to commit $100 billion initially and pour up to $500 billion into Stargate over the next four years.

I don't believe that Trump's issues are intelligence, business savvy or even sound policy ideas.

The problem I see is that he sees his position as omnipotent. Everything he has done so far is great, except some of those Executive Orders encroach on Congress's purview. So, for example the EO's on spending he said will shut down. That is not in the Executive Branch's authority, spending is Congressional. Anything Congress already awarded, is awarded. Only Congress can change it.

New stuff, absolutely he can set the parameters for Executive Agencies, but he can't undo or impound. That is what got him impeached last time. Congress is not going to give its power to Executive and Executive is not King. So, it will be interesting to see what the actual instructions to the Agencies is versus the language in the Executive Orders.
