Why can't there be just one toll authority so I can use my toll tag every where in Texas. It's annoying as heck !!!

Most of the major tags are usable across the state. They changed things about 3 years ago, much easier now for travel.
That which does not kill me, will try again and get nastier

Not sure if DFW is still the same but only one of the toll tags works there.

My toll tag is from Pennsylvania (I live in Ohio) and it works in Florida and Texas. Check their websites. They just started making some changes about 6 months ago so more tags worked in more places.

Mine didn't work in Florida a year ago and now it does.

We are in Miami often enough I was going to buy one and my wife said "you should just check one more time to see if the 3 we have will work down there". Sure enough they are listed now.

Mine is also an EZ Pass. I bought it in Pennsylvania because they don't decline the balance for non use (not that it matters because we use the stuff out of ours) while Ohio does/did. Since I'm routinely 15 mins from the PA border I drove over one day and grabbed a few.

Never fear, we're selling the management of the toll roads to foreign companies who will streamline all of this for you.
