Doge is exposing corruption and waste.

Dems are livid. Not just the politicians, but their voters. Republicans don't ever need to worry about appeasing them. They are corrupt whether politician or voter and their demands and concerns should be ignored. In fact if you are on the side of a progressive on any thing, you should be strongly concerned that you are on the wrong side of the issue.

Not usaid, but basically the same thing. The EVIL left has been using the us treasury (taxpayer $) as their unlimited piggy bank.

If this is cut from the budget and you add in the 49B from usaid, that is already almost 300B - a substantial portion of the deficit and mateiral portion of the budget.

Dept of Edu on the chopping block for today. Curious how much we'll save there.

I do not think it is fair to loop in Catholic Charities with the Episcopal Church. As noted, the latter is just a front organization for radical Gaystapo and Marxism.

The Catholic Church is not political in that sense and truly sees itself as above any country ... not that it is perfect, but I think it is not acting "political" per se as much as theological.

I know Soros had at least two "Catholic" groups that he "owned". He funds groups such as Bend the Arc, a far-left Jewish group that supports anti-Semites such as Rep. Ilhan Omar and Rep. Rashida Tlaib. He also throws considerable money at the BDS movement (boycott, divestment and sanctions) which is trying to bankrupt Israel. By funding the Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International, he is instrumental in branding Israel an "apartheid" racist state, the two bodies promoting this cause.

Soros has a long history of supporting anti-Catholicism, and that means lining up with the Democratic Party. When President Obama was in power, the atheist billionaire threw his weight behind Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good and Catholics United, two Catholic front-groups founded to manipulate Catholic voters.

Huge differences inside a lot of churches of the same faith too. Will speak to the Lutherans as that is my bread and butter. Keep in mind that nearly all Protestantism came from Martin Luther "nailing it" (btw, I DO NOT claim to be the best Christian. Too much red blooded male in me... However I did help run the POPL Special Needs Group at POP. That's why I understand Porteroso and JR so well. )

The LCMS believes that the Bible is without error in all that it says. The ELCA avoids making such statements, holding that Scripture is not necessarily always accurate on such matters as history and science.

My old church before I moved was Prince of Peace Lutheran in Carrollton. It is part of the Missouri Synod and was a somewhat conservative church.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), in 2009, the ELCA voted to allow LGBTQ individuals in committed relationships to serve as clergy. They also support same-sex marriage, aligning with their broader commitment to justice and equality. It is also most certainly true that the church body known as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America has rejected Lutheranism by embracing transgenderism, just as it has already done by embracing other tenants of the overarching critical theory religion. They have become intolerant toward conservatives:

Its also why Leftist activism has the distinctly "college campus/faculty lounge" flavor and vibe to it
