Show me where Israel paid reparations to the families of the servicemen they killed and the servicemen they wounded on thr USS Liberty?
They paid less than $2 million for the damages to the ship after the story first leaked to the public about 10 years later... and in that same year they received tens of billions of dollars from the US tax payers.
So your government only got repair monies, from an ally it could easily have extracted (or removed) exponentially more from.
Some will crackpot that's because the USA is a willing stooge of Israel, and has been for decades under administrations of both parties.
More sober minds would wonder if maybe our ship was somewhere it shouldn't have been, doing something it shouldn't have been.
Well LBJ was a piece of trash and I would love to piss on his grave, but at the end of day regardless of what we were doing, we were attacked by them... not the other way around. They killed 34 men. Name one other "allied" country in history that has gotten away scot-free with the murder of 34 American servicemen?
The fact that the average Israel citizen recieved more from US tax payers than the families of the men killed and the men who were wounded is nauseating.
When did you start hating Jews?
kiriakou has made a nice career out of being a CIA critic, whereby he revealed classified sources & methods which were, in fact, legal.The_barBEARian said:

No question Israel could and would do at least some of the things he described to someone who was doing something they did not like. Also no question they would be suspicious of a declared case officer doing nothing but attending language class for two years. (they'd be stupid not to be). I had two "arabist" case officers under my command in my last assignment. Both had studied it in the DC area for 6 months, then went to Cairo for 6 months for immersion. They came out functional....could debrief agents and recruit new ones mostly in Arabic. So a 2yr Arabic immersion in Israel? pops out on my radar as anomalous. that said, it is possible that the WOT would have changed the pathway for Arabic training a bit. It certainly would be safer to do the study in Israel (an elevated concern in the WOT). And the need for Arabic speakers I'm sure exploded as the WOT unfolded. Before the WOT, Arabic was something needed to collect FI in the parts of the Arabic world where English, French, Italian were not widely spoken (a smaller part of the Arab world). Decision makers usually would speak something in addition to Arabic But the WOT pushed the mission out into main street, out into the desert, where western languages were not widely spoken. Ergo the need for more Arabists.
My guess is, if the things he described really did happen, or happened to the degree described (Kiriakou has an agenda, remember....), then the "student" had done something the Israelis didn't like and they sent a warning. South Africa was like that. So was Singapore. So are more places than you might imagine. Everybody spies on everybody. And the little guys are almost as worried about their big patrons as they are their big threats. They know the aid their patrons provide offer influence, access, i.e. opportunities to do "stuff." And they also worry that the big guy might leave them in the lurch, or (as you and a few others here are so fond of alleging) use their influence to "change the regime."
Remember that time Obama helped the Israeli opposition in an election?
Why don't you check dates of the story with that & see if that isn't your explanation. Or something else. Democrats have a track record of poking Israel harder than Republicans.
Israel plays hardball with everyone.
They can be forgiven for thinking everyone is out to get them. History does tend to read that way.
