There may not be a better paragon of woke stupidity and schadenfreude than the movie Emilia Perez, which has received 13 oscar nominations despite being panned by audiences and critics as an overall awful movie. It also took away tons of other awards at other shows, and its lead actor was briefly the lates woke hero.

If you have not been following the fun, the movie was nominated only because the lead actor is a troon, and the plot is about a Mexican drug cartel leader who becomes a troon. Yes, someone actually conceived of this idea and thought it would make a great movie.

Now, the starring actor has been outed as a raging racist and hate monger, and suddenly the film is T'RACIST for its depiction of Mexican life. RUH-ROH.

The Woke always eat their own. It's beautiful to watch.

I have seen clips of the movie, and it seems like a parody of a bad high school class project.

The last movie I went to see in the theater was Nefarious, a year (?) ago. Before that maybe the Hobbit?

Amid the sea of mostly garbage that is and has been the movies Hollywood makes, Angel Studios is actually producing some good movies in recent years.

I had not seen a movie in a long time at a theater. Maybe 2 to 3 years. But the streak is broken....I saw DogMan last week.
