This is spot on. Trump in many ways like Elon is a moderate. The difference today is that Democrat voters of the 80's and 90's weren't the insane Democrats we have today. In fact my Democrat friends from the 80's wouldn't even recognize themselves today, they couldn't believe the nonsense that the party believes in now. Modern Dems are completely shameful.

Trump is a good first step for Repubs. We need to keep pushing for less government, recognize that it's fair trade not free trade that works for communities, and start trying to have a moralistic society once again. The Dems have lessened society so much that it will be a long road back to decency, if we can ever get there.

"This is my favorite question," Rocha replied. "We've talked about it on this program before. I joined the Democratic Party in 1989 because I wanted to fight NAFTA. I wanted to drain the swamps. I wanted to make sure that my tax dollars weren't going to foreign wars or wasted."
The Democratic strategist then argued, "That sounds like Donald Trump today. That's why we lose to him, is we've let him steal our verbiage. We have quit talking about working Americans, keeping America safe, doing the things that we did when I joined this party. And that's the reason he is scary, but he's not scary to enough people to lose elections because he sounds like the Democrats and why I joined this party."
Former Trump campaign advisor Bryan Lanza rejected the idea that Trump is scary altogether.

That illustrates another problem.

The Dems always think the reason that they lose is just a case of what they don't talk about.

Modern Democrats don't understand what happened in 2024. If they did, they would see potential for 2028.

What they are missing is what drives the populism that got Trump elected. Populism is not partisan. It is relational. It's not about Left vs. Right. It is about inside versus outside.

Populism is the rejection of a status quo. It is the rejection of insiders. Populism is the people's scream at a system they don't think hears them. It's also the truth and there's a mountain of evidence showing its justified.

If Republicans and Democrats were a married couple and they hired a lawn service that didn't show up to cut their lawn for 3 months, even though they've been paid, the Republican would be pissed and fire them and the Democrat would say "if we pay them more, maybe they'll show up".

Add that the party of Slavery has found another way to Enslave Americans, financially. They are ensnared once they have the hooks in them with their giveaway programs.

However this is a lot bigger than a few million African slaves... they have their hooks in all races.

Probably

But then President Kennedy would now be regarded as a fascist.
