It's you that needs to. cowboy already went through, but let me add that when I get to the first piece of data, the Ford et. all 2021 mask study, I find that they showed a correlation between mask wearing and not getting covid. That's been discussed so many times, and it doesn't actually mean that wearing a mask kept those people from getting covid.

We know that the vast majority were not wearing KN95 or better, so their cloth or surgical masks were doing next to nothing against covid, and we know that the population was more or less split up into people who took many precautions, including wearing masks but also isolating, reducing contact with strangers, and people who took no precautions, so this is probably better explained by general behavior, than wearing cloth over one's face.

And no mention is made up of the study that found that masks had either very little, or no effect, which at the time was the largest study. Most of the time, the studies early on in covid failed to take into account the extremely contagious nature. They assumed that if a mask could stop a particulate of a certain size, it would be effective against covid, but it seems (and very little research has been done here, even now) that covid lasts a very long time even in extremely small droplets of moisture, that these cloth and surgical masks are not effective against.

And here is an anecdote, I was talking to a distant family member who lives in Singapore recently about the vaccines. He said that their government was way more authoritarian than ours, when it came to getting jabbed. He had an intense reaction to his second jab, and actually told his doctor about it. They said it couldn't be true, because nobody else had ever complained about that level of stress on the body. So I know that many reports of general heart stress due to the vaccine were ignored completely. And I even see why, because in a pandemic you don't pause the vaccine rollout just because people say they are having heart problems. But these heart problems exist yet, and are not fully accounted for in your article.

They are also extremely dangerous, not only because recommendations like staying up to date with COVID boosters continue to be relevant, but also because this type of thinking affects how people respond to other scientific issues and future disease outbreaks. This erosion in the public trust in science is incredibly damaging and based entirely on lies and conspiracy theories.

Therefore, I want to set the record straight on four of the biggest COVID topics that I see coming up over and over again: vaccines, masks, hydroxychloroquine, and ivermectin. In all four cases, despite popular perception to the contrary, it was the scientists/health officials who got it right, and the conspiracy theorists who were dangerously wrong. That's not to say, of course, that every recommendation was correct or that every study produced helpful results. There were obviously missteps as scientists and health officials did their best to update their knowledge and recommendations based on new findings and the progression of the pandemic. Nevertheless, the overarching effect was the scientist's/doctor's recommendations saved millions of lives, while the conspiracy theorist's claims were entirely bogus and cost lives.

Did you? Because even though the author put "huge success" in the title his own words don't prove that.

A study that focuses on the effects of masks with health care workers or the elderly in assisted care facilities does not prove their effectiveness for the other 98% of the population.

The data on the vaccines does the same. It brushes aside all the questions about if the vaccines have caused health issues to just simply claim "no cause of death has been labeled due to Covid vaccines."

That is as stupid as the people that died in car crashes being counted as a Covid death.

Especially when so many people constantly touched everything where the virus lived (for longer than we thought) and then were touching their face, their mouth, eating, etc.

I used to cringe at the people I would see touch a door handle and then wipe under their mask. Or similar behavior.

And kids were the worst with masks.

Or all the people that covered their mouth but not nose. They were almost as bad as the people who wore masks while driving or walking alone.
