I can assure you they are going to spend 0 time attracting people to the R&P board. The premium sports board keeps this place in business. The overwhelming majority of users couldn't care less about the R&P sub forum.

What is sort of hilarious is the gap between reality and this sub forum. There's a lot of very moderate people in here, on both sides but this place is INCREDIBLY conservative leaning. I'm conservative but not compared to most of the posters here.

The US government collected $2.4 Trillion in personal income taxes in 2024. The total value of all imported goods the same year was $3 Trillion. The twisted irony is we'd have to import more and pay higher prices for it to even make an actual dent. Should we reshore everything, we'd be eating into our tax base and be forced to raise income taxes. Of course paying higher prices for goods is a net tax, the worst kind as it's regressive. It's just math.
