Yep.
The economy ran on Biden policy until August. We're barely 90 days into implementation of Trump policy. It will indeed be next year before we start to see clear trends, which should be very strong given the amount of capital investment flowing in from the trade deals.
But never fear, there will always be experts who insist that the prior guy had no impact on where we are, and that the current guy is at fault for not snapping his fingers and fixing everything at all once.

I doubt anyone wants it to fail. Hope was Obama's message. You zealots have messaged not hope, but results. Regardless of how badly people want Trump to fail or succeed, we can all look at the results and conclude he's failing miserably so far.
It will probably turn around some, the economy is resilient. But this golden age of America talk is not coming next year.
Tariffs have taxed the poor, they are about to get nailed by higher Healthcare costs, and 9 million Americans are about to see their student loan payments restart. These are people who qualified for a better repayment plan that is getting canceled. So they were having a hard time making payments. That is poor and middle class. Putting aside politics, right or wrong, that will have an impact upon spending, the housing market, medical bankruptcy, etc.

You are such a bamboozled wanker. Trump policy didn't take effect until August?
That is a plain fact. the BBB was passed in July. Tariffs started going into effect after that. The most important features of the BBB do not actually start until Jan 1. And throughout the entire year, the federal government ran on the Biden budget.
Do the pullout in Afghanistan too!
LOL Biden didn't have to continue the pullout. He could have stayed in place his entire term. He had US troops and US fighter/bomber aircraft on the ground in Afghanistan. Inexplicably, he didn't lift a finger to counter the approach of Taliban forces, to keep them well away from our departure. By any measure the execution on the withdrawal was a complete & total f-up.

Trump can thank himself for expectations of a quick fix because he repeatedly talked about it on the campaign trail.

You might have a point there. The budget passed a year ago had absolutely no effect on the economy this year. The socio-economic policies of the last four years are completely irrelevant to the value of the dollar, the trade deficit, the total debt, job creation trends, inflation, housing costs, etc...... Why, now that you mention it, Democrat policies are completely irrelevant in all times, places, and substance. Only the GOP is to blame from not snapping it's fingers and fixing all problems all at once with complete support of a restrained judiciary greasing the skids for change.
Thanks for opening our eyes!

The term "trade deficit" is by far one of the silliest Boogeyman of Trump and his supporting cast.
People are consuming less and buying less stuff. This should a actually be cause for concern,- not celebration.
