Governor Abbott announced one of the largest tech investments in American history: Google is investing $40 BILLION in Texas the single largest state investment anywhere in the U.S. as part of its "Investing in America" initiative.

The investment will expand AI and cloud infrastructure, build three new data center campuses, strengthen the state's energy capacity, and launch major workforce training programs for students, apprentices, and Texas workers.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai called Texas the "golden opportunity" for AI, crediting the state's unmatched energy resources, business climate, and talent pipeline. The project is expected to create thousands of jobs and drive new economic growth across North Texas, West Texas, and the Panhandle.

Texas continues to lead the nation in technology, energy, jobs, and innovation. And with this historic partnership, our state will remain at the forefront of the AI revolution!
