I'm not a big fan of gerrymandering, but the democrats have this down to a science. This could be the difference between losing the U.S. House or retaining it in 2026. Hilarious they head to Pritzger's state.

The irony of democrats complaining about this gerrymandering in Texas and year, but say nothing about millions of illegals getting counted in the census to give them an additional 20-30 congressional seats. I find that really wrong.

How long will these democrats stay in Pritzker's Illinois? It's up to them. Paxton can do nothing outside of Texas. At the extreme Abbott could vacate their seats, but I can't see him going that far. Should face a daily fine of $500 if my reading is correct. I guess those wanting a few minutes of publicity and fame get something out of this, but eventually they have to come back an participate in the system and the redistricting vote goes forward. I would like to see any of these who have vice-chairmanships be stripped of those positions. Only through moderate leadership in the Texas House would we give this unnecessary power to the democrats in the committees.

Democrats are accused of taking or asking for money to avoid fines or responsibilities, which could break Texas law (Penal Code §36.02).

If proven this is a serious crime with 2-20 years in prison.

Under the new plan, four of the five new congressional districts will be majority Hispanic.

And according to Abbott, that shift is EXPOSING something Democrats would rather not talk about.

"Four of the five new seats will be majority Hispanic," he said.

"One of the seats is going to restore the Barbara Jordan seat over in the Houston area."

That restoration, Abbott noted, is symbolic.

But it's the trend behind the numbers that's sending shockwaves through the Democratic Party.

"These are seats where Democrats are having to come to grips with reality," he said.
