My son knew Austin and knows Hunter ... friends of friends, but both have been to our home.

It is very disappointing that the killer's family sought to get burn, loot, murder involved, which has spread disinformation and division.

It is also no surprising the sympathy the killer and his family are getting from the usually gaggle of liberal white women.

I can only assume the strategy is to attempt to poison the jury pool and adjudicate a straightforward case in the public to push the Collin County DA's office to offer a generous plea deal for what is clear, stone-cold murder.

I also regret the other side is using this incident to further its agenda, but it is hard to argue given the bail reduction - as compared to the shooter in Wilmer-Hutchins - that there are now two standards of justice not dissimilar to the Daniel Penney case, where a black guy who did the exact same thing a few months earlier was not even charged.

These are the types of things that turn moderates away and further racial division and disunity.

So Metcalfs dad showed up to watch this press conference and they called the cops on him to escort him out even though he was just standing there quietly. I'm not sure what right they had to do that. Most schools now tell teachers not to touch students or use force to get kids to stop. Even if fighting.

They (schools) are so afraid of being sued they push this narrative that if you don't have specialized training to restrain kids then you (teacher) will be fired, lose your teaching certificate, and sued If you restrain a kid.

So even though there are clearly two or three adults there they don't really do anything because they don't want any of the above to happen to them.

And that is a result of the parents suing because their child gets a scratch when they were forcefully stopped doing things like in the video and the parents want to focus on that instead of their child's behavior.

Good grief that sucks. I grew up in Chilton and kids fought all the time. I've seen coaches/teachers tackle the aggressor in fights to stop it. This is over 40 years ago though and out in the middle on nowhere.

My wife was a teachers aide for a few years. She worked special ed and special needs and they had a bunch of autistic type kids. She was the only person in the Elementary school that has a certificate in some type of Non-Violent intervention restriant. With those kids she had to use it. She is really sharp, and this is about 30 years ago, they had her doing all kind of stuff that only a Certified teacher should have been doing. They really got their money's worth out of her.

About the "track" file, my kid would not use worn down spikes and filed them every time he ran to keep them sharp. I don't know if he is OCD, I doubt it, but he does have tendencies. I thought it was weird, but just glad he was running track, so I just didn't say anything.

We were playing football in Teague I think, and several of the guys were strangely getting cut. What started as a training for teachers and aides in sped to get is now a requirement for any teacher, aide, admin, etc. that "restrains" a student in any way.

And the restrain part is in quotes because it has been taken to the extreme by liberal judges and politicians to where any sort of preventing a student from doing something is restraint.

It is stupid and why most teachers refuse to get the training and flat out refuse to touch students no matter what is happening in front of them. (Short of life threatening issues)

I have been exposed to evil more in life than I have wanted to be, and like everybody else I have my own issues,but the level of evil directed towards the Metcalf family people and white people in general by the Anthony PR team, mainly that Dominique ass clown, is insane.

100%. The killer's family had the opportunity to be graceful and promote reconciliation. Unfortunately, they chose division and racial hatred. It does speak to the character of the family and the values that were instilled in the killer. The family and its burn loot murder allies have been spreading disinformation about Austin since almost day one:

- Austin died from ecstasy (zero evidence)

I don't think he was fired. The story I saw said he resigned because of the threats and hate that were now going to the real estate company employees where he worked and he resigned to protect them.
