These things are as simple as color of skin. It has always been this way. People take sides based upon color of skin, and when you think about it, why not? It's not like most people are trying to figure out what actually happened.

They are in the habit of consuming headlines + a skimmed paragraph or 2, and forming an opinion that can be a talking point or conversation starter when they get to work. Color of skin is about the most concrete thing they will know about the situation.

It used to be that the majority would take the white person's side. Law enforcement would scapegoat the nearest black person. Just wild that in 30 years the script flipped. It's the same script of racism, just colors swapped.

It's a good thing he got rid of these jackasses and hired a real lawyer. That will make it go better for all involved. Those guys were bad news.
Not if he gets the murderer off.

In Texas, a minor convicted of murder faces a sentence of life in prison with the possibility of parole, not life without parole, and the death penalty is not an option for juveniles, according to the Dallas Criminal Lawyer. If a juvenile court waives jurisdiction and the case is tried in adult court, the juvenile is still subject to the same penalties as an adult, except for life without parole and the death penalty, notes austinjuvenilelaw.com.

At some point, you've got to trust Collin County judicial system to work ... at least well enough.
The DA has also been listed a Superlawyer in the past and has a staff of 140 people, many of whom very are likely lawyers. So they will be competent as well.

All kinds of mess that has been published is false, so you are completely right, at some point we have to
trust the judicial system to work. Does it have misses? Of course. Does it usually work out right, I believe so.

This bond reduction is a clear signal how this case is going to end up.

I don't think it is. Bond is often reduced all the time. It often comes with stipulations like this case. House arrest, ankle monitor, restricted areas an accuse can go (work, store, no bars, etc)

Saw a story this morning highlighting the massive amount of false information out there and warning that the accounts claiming to be police releasing "updates" can be charged for impersonating an officer.

It highlighted things like the false reports of drugs in the victims system, they rode the same bus there, being a bully and other things that are flying around out there

Good points. I would also add the people that see a social media post and take it as fact which is why so many are defending the murderer because of something they saw on social media. Well that and it seems to heavily be blacks defending him because he is black.

I think he will be found guilty.

When you look at any city or county and look at the cases they are trying for murder you often see it is for an event that happened years ago. Usually it is only the high profile cases that get sped through.

There was a murder case involving people I am close with where the trial wasn't set to begin until 2 years and 5 months after the murder, and he was out on bond the whole time. The defendant took a plea deal right as it was about to begin. Even then sentencing took another two weeks and then he still had about a week before he had to report to actually go to prison.

Look at KWTX right now for another example. The top story is about a stabbing that happened at Belton high school and the two days (so far) of the trial for it. The event was 2022.

It's difficult to see how he could be acquitted if the reports are correct: plenty of witnesses, no real provocation, no extenuating circumstances, he was the only person there with a weapon, etc. Granted I have not followed it that closely and don't know all the details. The facts of the case might change significantly.

True justice will be blind and the ethnicity of the perp & the victim will be irrelevant. Unfortunately, that will be difficult considering how racially charged our society has become in recent years.

OJ had DNA evidence all over himself and his possessions.
Statistically it was impossible that anyone else murdered his ex wife and her associate.

But the jury wanted to send a signal to the rest of the country….and they certainly did.

Of course the not guilty verdict probably save a few dozen lives ( at least ) and a billion dollars worth of real estate.

We will never know how many jurists think in those terms.

He has 500k in his go fund me campaign but his family just moved into a Frisco mcmansion with the money but I do think its a rental. I'm sure his new lawyer will cost at least 500k but it seems like the black grift network will help keep the funds rolling in.

No kidding. If it is a $150,000 vehicle with excellent credit for a 72 month term you are looking at $2700 a month.

Insurance on that would be at least another $500 a month.

They just got a cash infusion. Its looking like the family has been rewarded financially for this whole tragic situation. The optics are really bad on the moves they made (assuming they are true).

i hope this doesn't spawn copycats.

The conclusion that will be drawn is that it pays well to kill white boys!

Welcome to the future of America and Europe with whites becoming minorities in their own countries while being surrounded by people who vehemently hate them.
