I dont know what you Boomers dont understand about freedom of speech.

They have a right to put watermelon stickers on their personal property... just like you Boomers have the right to put Israel-First stickers on your property.

Listened to Cruz, and I didn't hear him call for inhibiting anyone's speech.

You seem to have erected a strawman.

You have the right to say whatever you want. Doesn't mean you have the right to be immune from criticism. Critique of neo-Nazis isn't a violation of one's free speech rights.

You the guy erecting Strawman. My comment was about whiterock brushing over and excusing a cop for detaining someone with a watermelon sticker on their vehicle.

But to my original point, they are actively passing laws to make criticism of Jews or Israel illegal. No other racial demographic has these unconstitutional laws made for them. Again it is a double standard and creates a protected class... now I know you are a religious fanatic who believes Jews have a divine right to rule over gentiles, but America was founded upon separation of Church and State and the vast majority of Americans disagree with your theology:

Antisemitism laws in the U.S. vary significantly by state. A recent evaluation identified that only nine states have strong policies aimed at combating antisemitism. These policies include measures such as:
 • Holocaust education requirements
 • Funding for security at Jewish institutions
 • Legislation against anti-Israel boycotts
States like California, Florida, and New York are noted for taking defined steps to address antisemitism. Additionally, there is ongoing legislative activity in various states to define antisemitism, which has sparked debates about free speech and the implications of such definitions on political discourse.

Sorry, let me be more clear. Which US laws have been passed that have been adjudicated to infringe upon a person's First Amendment Right to free speech? I thought you were suggesting there are a number of those that infringe on free speech rights, so I am curious which of those you are referencing. A look at Texas's Pro-Israel Boycott Ban

Israel is one of Texas's strongest partners for trade and investment in the Middle East. Under Texas law, contractors with 10 or more full-time employees are prohibited from boycotting Israel during the term of a government contract valued at $100,000 or more. In January 2022, a federal district court forbid the City of Houston from requiring an engineering firm to certify it will not boycott Israel, holding that such a requirement violates the First Amendment. The ruling has been appealed to the Fifth Circuit.

Under the Texas anti-BDS law, a government contractor is required to certify that it (1) does not boycott Israel and (2) will not boycott Israel during the term of the contract.[2] The comptroller is required to maintain and periodically update a public list of companies that boycott Israel.

In 2019, we wrote about some of the early fallout from the passage of the anti-BDS law, including the state's $72 million divestment from a Norwegian financial services said to be boycotting Israel.

are you aware of how uninformed you are right now?

I dont know what you Boomers dont understand about freedom of speech.

They have a right to put watermelon stickers on their personal property... just like you Boomers have the right to put Israel-First stickers on your property.

I don't know why you work so hard to fail reading comprehension. I'm just explaining what the idiom/image about watermelon means in political parlance.

It's a damn shame. Everyone was talking big during election time but I'm seeing it within my circle (of people who previously supported it) where they no longer. Cowards.

Europe has pretty much fallen, America will follow over the next decade. I cant see how it gets better in our lifetime

Europe is certainly done for now. They will now have plenty of indians coming in and will soon look like Frisco, Tx.

I don't see Trump ending the deportations. Likely, he's scaling back operations in Minn for now due to all that's going on, but I suspect he's not going to back down on this.

Of course you would Boomer.

I just hope one day I can love something as much as Boomers love jewish supremacy.

Insane that none of the so called conservatives on this board will say a word about Australians getting jailed in their native country for words.... this is why I speak out against Boomer trash and Zionist trash... they would do the same thing in America if there weren't a legion of people like me ready to fight them to the death to stop it.

I condemn the rising tide of intolerance in Australia. Canada and UK are not far behind. Shocking to see how the English Speaking World has expanded restrictions on free speech.

Vance's speech a year ago was timely, and eloquent. I am hesitant about him and post-liberalism. But this speech presents a worldview I can get very, very motivated to fight for. If this is post-liberalism, then I'm in, because it sounds lot like classical liberalism.

"...And I really do believe that allowing our citizens to speak their mind will make them stronger still. Which, of course, brings us back to Munich, where the organizers of this very conference have banned lawmakers representing populist parties on both the Left and the Right from participating in these conversations. Now, again, we don't have to agree with everything or anything that people say. But when political leaders represent an important constituency, it is incumbent upon us to at least participate in dialogue with them.
Now, to many of us on the other side of the Atlantic, it looks more and more like old, entrenched interests hiding behind ugly Soviet era words like misinformation and disinformation, who simply don't like the idea that somebody with an alternative viewpoint might express a different opinion or, God forbid, vote a different way, or even worse, win an election...."

But he should have the right to say it... and its healthy to allow people to vent their frustration. Suppression of speech will just make the anger and resentment build until it explodes.
