What a weak interview. Doesn't even attempt to explain why he asked zero tough questions of Fuentes.

Tucker is a piece of *****

Tucker goes off the rails some times I agree

But we can't discount him because he comes by with such good takes…like this one about collective punishment

Tucker does have good takes and we used to agree far more often than not. But I've seen no substantive evidence that Israel was targeting children in Gaza. Yet he repeats that position as if it's verifiable fact.

Sure you have. I've posted many, many videos of children, doctors, journalists, and other civilians being targeted.

While I don't read everyone of your posts, I haven't seen any video posted by your showing evidence the Israelis targeted children.

If we were honest with ourselves, the main opposition to what happened in Gaza is Israel is engaged in it. We were ok with going after Isis and the Taliban but the minute a Jew goes after Gaza Islamic terrorists, it's genocide. Convenient.

I think is over all point was valid about the horrible idea of collective punishment.

Gets more murky/gray area in the Gaza war thing I agree.....with a vicious Islamo-terrorist party hiding among the local population.

But I think his over all point was very solid....."collective guilt/collective punishment is bad"

And I agree that over in the Middle East and in much of the world that mindset of..."all the rival tribe are the enemy and must be punished" is the norm.....not the exception

Fox News is giving PATRIOT awards to guys who choose to serve in the IDF over the US military... unbelievable...

He's an incredibly brave man choosing to fight our enemies where he can, when he can, rather than wait for more limited and less frequent engagement by US military.

Do you feel the same way about the Lafayette Espadrille, the Koscuiuszko Squadron, the Eagle Squadrons, the Flying Tigers?

He's brave bcs he choose to kill a bunch of ill equiped, starving civilians crammed together in a space the size of AT&T Stadium's parking lots using the most advanced military equipment in human history?

Fox News Boomers are something else...

Any American who chooses to join a foreign military should forfeit their citizenship... and I have already vigorously expressed my opposition to dual citizenship... the very concept of dual citizenship is an insult to Legacy Americans.

Let's be honest - we all know why. He shares Fuentes's hatred of all things Jew, and as he has admitted, that's the most important issue to him. He'll excoriate Cruz, and soften Fuentes.

This is what Tucker means by Christian Americans (Anglos) not believing in collective punishment. We dont penalize people for the actions of others. Northern Europeans have an enlarged frontal lobe that allows them to process complex feelings of conscientiousness and empathy. This is what seperates us from the savages.

I of course never said that, and we know Jesus doesn't teach that (although it's interesting you invoke Jesus despite not believing in him). But I also suspect Jesus wouldn't have a problem with individuals who participated in ethnic cleansing and genocide being brought to justice, regardless of their age. It's telling you believe Nazis who participated in genocide are sympathetic figures. Says a lot about you.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, if you aren't a Nazi sympathizer), there are consequences for the evil we participate in on our time here on earth, both here and in the hereafter.

I am not sure how you concluded that I believe the Germans need to be collectively punished, but you are an overly dramatic individual, prone to hysterics. It causes you to make ridiculous leaps in logic, and reach conclusions that aren't warranted.

To be clear, the only people I suggested punishing are those who participated in the planning and execution of ethnic cleansing and genocide. At no point did I state, much less suggest, that all Germans should be punished for the heinous actions of some.

As for German POWs, having a grandfather who was captured by the Germans in Salerno, and spent almost two years in a German stalag, I know for a fact they were treated much better by us than we were treated by them. My grandfather barely survived torture and starvation. He was one of the lucky ones, in that he had a German heritage, and could speak the language.

Again, it's interesting (and telling) that Nazis who planned or participated in killing Jews hold such a special place in your heart.

Actually that's not correct.

"To understand why Gen X did not earn more than Boomers, consider these points:

Economic conditions during Gen X's prime working years were less favorable than those of Boomers.
The rise of technology and globalization led to job displacement and wage stagnation for many Gen X workers.

Boomers benefited from a post-war economic boom, resulting in higher wages and job security.

Gen X faced increased student debt burdens, impacting their financial growth.

The housing market crash in 2008 disproportionately affected Gen X, limiting wealth accumulation.

Changes in corporate practices, such as outsourcing and reduced benefits, affected Gen X's earnings potential."

We faced the same trends (minus AI, and the same levels of mass immigration) that the Millenials and Gen Z are facing, it's just that those trends are on steriods now.

This is very true. I'm just lucky in that I had a buddy who was an aggressive real estate agent and he pushed me into a house in Lake Highlands in 2007. I got in with a 0 down 1st and 2nd mortgage. I had to have a room mate to be able to cover the mortgage but those 0 downs went away in 2008 after the crash. That was the single greatest wealth builder I had bc I sold my house in 2017 and made 100k off it which afforded me a nice house where I live now.

Speaking on behalf of most millennials or Gen Z, what is retirement?

Most of those sad sacks will never know retirement unless they inherit wealth or MemeCoin3000 goes to the moon.

And it WAS Boomers who sold off many industries for easy money... see Mitt Romney and Bain Capital as a prime example but there was a modern "gold rush" built around white collar finance guys stabbing blue collar American workers in the back.

I'm not a boomer, buy y'all really need to study history instead of twitter.

Go back and count all the recessions since 1945. Study the embargos; the demise of the auto and steel industries; the Carter years with gas lines and interest rates that you cannot possibly fathom. I could go on and on. Trust me, you haven't lived through half the **** boomers have.

And you act as if the 21st century issues did not affect boomers. It affected them more. Many lost their retirements due to bankruptcies and housing market crashes, the .com bubble, and more. And they did not have time to recover.

Speaking on behalf of most millennials or Gen Z, what is retirement?

Most of those sad sacks will never know retirement unless they inherit wealth or MemeCoin3000 goes to the moon.

And it WAS Boomers who sold off many industries for easy money... see Mitt Romney and Bain Capitol as a prime example but there was a modern "gold rush" built around white collar finance guys stabbing blue collar American workers in the back.

Romney's Bain Made Millions as South Carolina Steelmaker Went Bankrupt

You dont need meme coins bc those are crap. The future is $ICP. It is the next ethereum but ethereum will be running on their network eventually. They have the ability to replace amazon web service and google cloud and they already have a self writing AI that you can just tell it what to make and it does it. Figuring out the useful coins is the key

And that steel mill is like 45 mins down the road from me. Half the town worked there and its sad that these venture capitalists killed whole towns just so ******bags like MItt could make millions.

So what?

Every generation has swindlers and con men, and not all of them go into politics, so the average Joe or Jane has to be careful.

A lot of stupid ideas predated the Boomers by a long time. Ever hear of Ponzi or the Dutch Bulb mania?

So when you point to this guy or that making ridiculous money while regular people struggle, Cornelius Vanderbilt says hi while DuPont and Rockefeller laughs at you.

Blaming everyone in a generation or praising everyone just because you think that time was great or horrible, only proves you have a limited perspective and can't be bothered to think very deep on matters.

There are important lessons here, but spite and arrogance blind a lot of people. Ignoring your options then blaming others for the outcome is simply a bad plan that goes to a bad end.

Don't be that guy.
That which does not kill me, will try again and get nastier

No matter what you think of Nick he is right about this. People are starting to notice that the party's main priority is Israel and its become tiresome to say the least.

He was for free speech until he got the call and now made a hostage video. This is our country in a nutshell.

Hilarious that you see this as a "free speech" issue. Let me dispel your ignorance - there is no govt actor here.

Criticizing a POS like Tucker for soft pedaling a POS is not a restriction on free speech rights.

correct. it's moral argument. which can be painful when you make bad arguments.

I was on a private forum for a while that had a tag line on the landing page:
"Welcome here. Say anything you want, but don't come whining to the mods when you get kicked in the nuts."

There's no good argument - moral or otherwise - for the normalization of Nick Fuentes.

I'd suggest actually watching the interview if you are under the impression that Tucker exposed his bad ideas.

"normalization"

I don't think engaging in a conversation with objectionable views normalizes them per se. In fact, engagement is necessary to win the moral argument. E.G. Charlie Kirk. What normalizes objectionable views is agreeing with them. Calmly dissecting them like a gelid frog on a well-lit stage in front of millions is the best medicine of all.

Suppression is not a terribly reliable tool. Some organisms thrive in dark, damp places. Stick that gelid frog between the couch cushions and it'll cause all kinds of unpleasantness.

The best tool of all is policy which achieves common good. It sucks energy out of pathological ecosystems.

I am curious which of Nick Fuentes' objectionable views you believe Tucker engaged with?

All of them. He asked questions and let Fuentes talk. Now, millions of people are discussing the substance. Will Fuentes gain some supporters? Yeah. But who? I suspect mostly people who already think like him but just didn't know who he was. I doubt Fuentes converted masses of minds. More likely lost ground. Most people are going to reject odious little trolls like Fuentes. That's classical liberalism. Messy. Efforts to make it tidy run the risk of becoming another insult of intolerance.

Implicit in the argument for cancellation is that the assumption that the evil being cancelled is a mortal risk to good. I don't buy that argument at all. Good vs Evil is not a contest we should be terribly worried about. We should seek it early and more often, to win it via debate rather other means.

Firmly believe that repressive tolerance is intolerance.

I'm not Gen-X.

I was mocking you guys for having the easiest difficulty setting in human history.

Gen-X are the last generation to on average make more money than their parents before them.

Well I like you and I like Muddy... I am going to have to pull back on my Gen-X animus.

Y'all are chill.

Oy vey...
