Tucker's guest describes perfectly why removing the tax exempt status of these 505(c)(3) is so important if we are going to salvage this country. See 1:13:15.

Basically what that tells me is that non-profits serve an important purpose but they can be abused (like most things) and they need to be held accountable under existing law.

Existing laws do not exist and there is no oversight over these 505c3... which is the source of the problem.

Simplify the tax code and tax all of these organizations as if they were corporations..... which in reality is exactly what they are.

A "conservative" calling for more taxes. Guess it just proves your hatred of Jews and certain Christian groups who support them is stronger than any conservative ideals you might hold (if any).

I am calling for a fair tax code and removing fraud and corruption.

Interesting that you equate opposing fraud and corruption with "hatred of jews"

Also Interesting you use the same tired tactics of the left and being race and identity into every conversation regardless of the topic.

A ~former~ Jew lecturing us on how the US-Israel alliance is the cornerstone of American civilizational identity

Just curious: how can someone be a former Jew? If I am of English decent, can I be a former Anglo?

Dillon has never been a member of the Jewish religion, if that's what you mean. Was raised Christian.

But I suppose his ethnicity is a real issue for the Groypers.

focusing on identity allows one to to avoid substance. And to that end the Groypers have as much substance as an adolescent fart.

It's amazing how much they have in common with the leftists, in that regard.

Two birds of a feather.

hence their moniker - "woke right."

Our identity is all we have left. We must carry on the traditions of our ancestors, they are looking down on us to carry on their legacy.

Strong cultural identity will save our nation.

ah, but what is "culture."

Not trying to being argumentative. R.R. Reno's book "Return of the Strong Gods" argues (correctly) that culture is a basic human need. But it's not exactly easy for a free society to "manage" culture and remain free. The woke left sees western culture in general and American culture in specific as absolutely pathological, in sore need of transformation. The woke right tends to have a very rigid interpretation of what culture is & should be. Somewhere in the middle............we've got to find ONE culture. E pluribus unum. and all that.... It just can't be by edict.

"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

You need to some more looking into exactly who is funding and benefitting from the 501c3 structure as it exists. Churches and conservative organizations are a small minority. Increasingly that status is a front to launder tax free money by leftists and globalists. Getting rid of it would fix a lot of what is wrong in our society.

If you want to create some sort of a specific carve out, say only hospitals involved in direct patient care like St Jude's, ok.

I suppose it would also be a good way to shut down churches as well. Catholics, with their money, would likely survive the repercussions. Many of their "competitors" wouldn't. It would be a big step toward religious oligarchy, that is for sure. But maybe you're ok with that.

You don't think your church could survive without 501c3 status?

That's a problem. Perhaps you should pay more attention at the next business meeting.

The Religion Business Documentary

Protestia

These are two excellent resources for tracking abuses within church circles. The second is a particularly good resource to see which culprits make repeat appearances.

Many churches wouldn't survive. And good luck trying to plant a church, without some assistance from a much larger denomination. The mission field would be incredibly restricted as well. No more sending money overseas when you're trying to pay your taxes, instead. The ability to reach millions would be severely restricted.

In short, what you are advocating would inhibit greatly the spread of the Gospel. But you appear to be cool with that.

It would also limit the spread of false religions in this country... it would prevent the Islamists forming their own enclaves or the that giant demonic monkey statue that got built in Sugarland. It would also put an end to Orthodox Jews ability to commit fraud and take over entire cities in the Northeast.

In addition, it would greatly help pay down the national debt and not require raising taxes on the people who have been suffocated with a high tax burden already for decades.

Ending 501(c)(3)'s is long overdue but I understand there are a lot of useful idiots who still support it despite it being against their own best interests.

Simple explanation. The Right was largely united in 2024 to get Trump reelected. A civil war began after Trump's honey moon ended.

Now the Right has divided into various factions. Tuckers audience has become more niche. Trumps popularity is down significantly as well.

In the internet age, spreading the gospel is unbelievably cheap. International missions could continue under my model, they would simply have to affiliate with a medical clinic engaged in direct patient care.

But Joel Osteen's and Paula White's respective gooses would be cooked. So would Hillsong.

...and yeah, I'm perfectly fine with destroying those who make merchandise of the gospel.

Oh please. I won't show the court cases here, but the courts have long opined that taxing churches is suppression of religion, especially when done against some but not others.

So while I think it's absurd that groups like the Scientologists get tax protection, I also defend the principal even as I believe they abuse it.
