The guy is trying to appeal to a certain audience. Seems like he's trying a reset at this point. He knows Rubio is clearly ahead of him, and is trying to pivot.

JD Vance is a chameleon, he's constantly changing things about himself to appeal to certain groups. I don't trust him as far as I can throw him and I hope others from our camp feel the same.

True... whereas Rubio is a Ted Cruz type career politician who has always worked for Israel and his Jewish donors over the interests of the United States. Rubio is consistent, in that he has never indicated he would ever buck Israel on anything and they will have his complete obedience if elected President.

This is why I am hoping Massie will run... Rubio and Vance will split the establishment (Israel First) vote.

I'm with you man, one is a total chameleon, the other is a career DC-swamp creature. We're going to need a good wildcard in 2028

Just curious: what is a DC swamp creature, and how is Rubio one? He's been in office around the same length of time as Massie.

Career politician, opportunist. No real beliefs, just seeking power.

Marco Rubio is a career politician. Thomas Massie was an engineer/entrepreneur.

Rubio worked for several private firms for more than 12 years before running for office. So he did have experience in the private sector.

When you say he has no real beliefs but is just seeking power, what evidence do you have of that position?

What evidence do you have against it?

This rule is not modern, but is instead grounded in authoritative rabbinic sources such as Mishnah Kiddushin 3:12 and Talmud Kiddushin 68b, and later codified in the Shulchan Aruch, all of which establish that a child's status follows the mother, not the father. As a result, even an atheist born to a Jewish mother remains Jewish, while someone with a Jewish father but nonJewish mother is not considered Jewish without conversion. That is plainly a rule of lineage and descent, not one of faith.

Apparently the jewish obsession with eugenics make the nazis look cosmopolitan by comparison. Of course most honest interlocutors already understand that nazis and zionist jews are just tigers of different stripes and are the exact same.

That's not eugenics. I hope you will free yourself of these needless anti-Jewish sentiments, because your politics are on the right track in many ways.

I have not stated the proposition. You guys have. I see no evidence that he is what you claim. As the person making the accusation, it's your burden to prove it.

But if you can't, I understand. It is a frivolous accusation.

Anti-America? Check.

Now, if only he could reach your conclusion that dictators and despots are the good guys, and authoritarian actions by our government against everyday Americans are a good thing, that would put him in Sam Lowry territory.

And along this line, can you explain why people from Ethiopia, Yemen, and Israel - who all speak or spoke Semitic languages - look so different if they're the same race?

You're trying to conflate languages and races. Just because two different racial groups speak related languages doesn't mean they somehow become the same racial group. For example in India, there are any number of related and unrelated languages but only two races.

Quote:

5) Do you think all speakers of Indo-European languages (like English, Hindi, and Russian) are a single race too? I would guess so, based on your criteria

Obviously not.

6) Under your definition, Ethiopian Jews and European Jews are the same race. Correct?

Obviously not.

You are so locked in to the concept of a Jewish race that I honestly do not think you are capable of understanding an alternative view. Do you think Abraham was Jewish?

" The Levant's genetic landscape is a complex blend of shared ancestry, historical migrations, and cultural intermingling. Distinguishing Israeli/Jewish and Palestinian ancestries through genetic studies presents unique challenges due to overlapping genetic profiles, reflecting millennia of shared history. While certain genetic markers hint at distinctions, the interwoven nature of these populations often obscures clear boundaries."

With regards to your other question, that is a very complex question. The short version is that the region is filled with Semitic genes, in fulfillment of God's promise to Abraham in Genesis.

The crazy thing is he thinks this will convince others to agree while most of us find it repulsive.

Abraham was the father of the Jewish nation (even labeled that in the NT by Pharisees) and the Jewish people: Isaac, Jacob (renamed Israel by God), and his 12 sons who became the 12 tribes. All of this ancient history can be found in Genesis.

Today, Judaism is a religion with adherents from many different nationalities and ethnicities. Israel is the only Jewish state in the world, although there are many in other places especially the US & Europe.

With regards to your other question, that is a very complex question. The short version is that the region is filled with Semitic genes, in fulfillment of God's promise to Abraham in Genesis.

Thanks for the response. I think your reply actually highlights the central issue fairly clearly, because your positions are internally inconsistent.

First, you say I'm conflating language and race - but that was precisely the point I was testing. The term "Semitic" is historically and academically a linguistic classification. If you agree that language does not define race (as you explicitly stated), then the burden is on you to explain what does define a "Semitic race," since you are no longer relying on the term's original meaning.

At the moment, your position seems to be:

  • "Semitic" is a race
  • It is not defined by language
  • It is not consistently identifiable by phenotype (since you rejected those examples)
  • It has no clearly articulated genetic markers (since none were provided)
That leaves the category undefined.

Second, your India analogy actually undercuts your argument. Modern population genetics does not recognize "two races" in India in any clear biological sense - India is one of the most genetically diverse regions on earth, with continuous variation rather than discrete racial boundaries. So appealing to that example doesn't clarify your definition; it highlights how imprecise the concept of "race" becomes when you try to apply it biologically.

Third, you rejected the Indo-European comparison, but didn't explain why it's different. That was the key point of the question: if shared linguistic origin doesn't imply shared race in that case, then you need a principled reason why "Semitic" should be treated differently. Simply saying "obviously not" doesn't resolve the inconsistency - it just leaves it unaddressed.

Fourth, you rejected that Ethiopian Jews and European Jews are the same race - but again, that creates a problem for your framework. If groups historically labeled "Semitic" can belong to visibly and genetically distinct populations, then the term is clearly not functioning as a coherent biological category.

Fifth, the quotation you provided actually reinforces my point, not yours. It explicitly states that Levantine populations have overlapping genetic profiles and blurred boundaries, which is exactly what we would expect from geographically proximate, historically intermixed populations; not from distinct, clearly bounded "races."

Finally, appealing to Genesis as an explanation for "Semitic genes" isn't a scientific argument. You're making a claim about biology, genetics, and race - those claims require empirical definitions and evidence that can be tested and consistently applied. Without that, the category becomes, effectively, arbitrary.

Bottom line: If "Semitic" is neither defined by language, nor by consistent genetic markers, nor by identifiable phenotype, and cannot be applied consistently across populations, then it isn't functioning as a biological race.

So I'll restate the core question as clearly as possible:

What objective, testable criteria allow someone to determine whether a given individual is or is not part of the "Semitic race"?

Until that's answered, your position isn't even coherent.

I understand its merely your opinion, but was curious if you actually had any evidence to support it - like most reasonable people who lodge such accusations.

It sounds like the answer is no. You've just decided you dislike him, for whatever reason, and so you make a baseless and unsupported accusation.

Give me a list of 20 thing Marco Rubio has done to make life better here in America from his position of power?

So why 20? Can you name 20 things Thomas Massie has done to make life better here in America from his position of power? How about MTG?

When you say he has no real beliefs but is just seeking power, what evidence do you have of that position?

Lmao, Wdym provide evidence? Do you expect me to provide a quote or something? It's my opinion.

His first campaign was a failure so now he's using Trump to put himself in position to be the Republican nominee for 2028. Similar to nearly all of the establishment republicans, he despised him at first, made his opinions publicly known, and now he's kissing ass because he knows he needs his blessing going forward.

Mothra is constantly bickering about how Thomas Massie is a loser with "no real beliefs" yet he's a total fan boy for Marco Rubio… lmao

I said Thomas Massie has "no real beliefs"? Where did I say that? Quote the post.

Anyone know what legislation or issues Massie actually supports? I get the professional contrarian thing. But other than opposing any spending (something I appreciate) and being an isolationist (something I find foolish), I am not sure why people get so excited about him. Yes, he authored the Epstein Act, and insinuated some massive govt. coverup of elites, but nothing at all has materialized.

Here is you questioning what Massie supports. What does Marco Rubio support? By all means, he shifts his views to whatever is popular in the Republican Party.

  • "Semitic" is a race

  • Correct. Semites are a race.

    Quote:

  • It is not defined by language

  • Correct.

    Quote:

  • It is not consistently identifiable by phenotype (since you rejected those examples)

  • Incorrect. There are, for example, many Ashkenazi Jews who are phenotypically central european and some who are even northern european, and who are phenotypically distinct from both Sephardic Jews, and Ethopian Jews. This actually undercuts your argument that Jews constitute a single race.

    Quote:

Second, your India analogy actually undercuts your argument. Modern population genetics does not recognize "two races" in India in any clear biological sense - India is one of the most genetically diverse regions on earth, with continuous variation rather than discrete racial boundaries. So appealing to that example doesn't clarify your definition; it highlights how imprecise the concept of "race" becomes when you try to apply it biologically.

This shows how little you know about racial categories. There are Aryan Indians in north and central India who phenotypically are similar to the people of Afghanistan, Iran, and Greece...and Dravidian Indians who tend to be phenotypically simillar to subsaharan africans/australian aboriginals.

    Quote:

Fourth, you rejected that Ethiopian Jews and European Jews are the same race - but again, that creates a problem for your framework. If groups historically labeled "Semitic" can belong to visibly and genetically distinct populations, then the term is clearly not functioning as a coherent biological category.

Ashkenazi Jews and Ethopian Jews are obviously not of the same race. Just because Amharic has some semitic influences doesn't mean that they are of the same race as Ashkenazi or Sephardic Jews. Just because they practice the same religion doesn't make them the same race. You still can't get past the incoherent insistence that Jews are a race.

    Quote:

Fifth, the quotation you provided actually reinforces my point, not yours. It explicitly states that Levantine populations have overlapping genetic profiles and blurred boundaries, which is exactly what we would expect from geographically proximate, historically intermixed populations; not from distinct, clearly bounded "races."

Wrong. What this actually proves is that the semitic peoples are a race identifiable by certain haplotypes. It does NOT prove that the Jews are a race. You're the one who is trying to create a fictional race of Jews out of whole cloth and separate it from the broader race of semites that surround them. Now if you wanted to make the case that racially Ashkenazi Jews constitute a separate race from both Ethopian (easy) and Sephardic (a little more difficult) Jews that might be something you could build. But that too would undercut your argument that there is a "jewish race".

Anyway, back to the main point here.

Opposition to Israel is not anti-semitism.

Opposition to Judaism is not anti-semitism.

The Jew is someone who follows or identiifies with Judaism, a religion not a race.

But you're in good company in making your argument:

"To begin with, the Jews are unquestionably a race, not a religious community."

So I went back and took a closer look at the Biblical book of Esther.

Yet I still saw no reference to 'haplotypes'.

Think I will go with Scripture on the question.

I've made a claim, with clear reasoning, so it's not baseless. But it appears I've struck a nerve because you're a fan of little Marco.

Never make a statement about a politician again if you don't have concrete evidence to back it up.

You believe you've provided reasoning? Really???

Huh. Ok. So what's the reasoning again? That he's been in congress a while? His first campaign was a failure? His parents didn't flee Cuba? That makes him, somehow, a DC swam creature?

    Huh.

Epstein lawyer Alan Dershowitz is having a full meltdown.

Last month, he admitted that after 40 years as a Democrat, he moved to the Republican side to reshape it around Isrl-first politics.

Now Trump and JD Vance are separating America's interests from Netanyahu's agenda and suddenly Dershowitz is claiming:

    "Jws created America."

"America is based on the Torah."

    That's not history.

    That's panic.

The Epstein files don't just mention Dershowitz.

They place him inside the pipeline.

An FBI FD-1023 says Jared and Josh Kushner were both Dershowitz's students, while the FBI source confirmed Dershowitz was "co-opted by Mssad and subscribed to their mission."

Israeli ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, got in a shouting match with the U.N.'s special representative for children and armed conflict, Vanessa Frazier, after she interrupted his remarks at Friday's meeting regarding allegations that Israeli soldiers and settlers committed sexual violence against Palestinians.

The meeting reached a boiling point when Danon accused U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres of unfairly targeting Israel following Israel's recent addition last month to a U.N. blacklist of countries suspected of sexual violence in conflict zones.
